When we Weren't Having Fun, We Were...

When we weren't having fun this month, we were...

Crawling in the dryer and screaming bloody murder until Mommy came to the rescue
 Snuggling with our blankie

Looking handsome and grown up for preschool

*Doesn't she look more like a 16 year old than a 4 year old? Sigh.

Being best friends

Eating a very nutritious dinner of peanut butter, yogurt, Eggo waffle, and mac and cheese. Mom thought it was healthy. Daddy disagreed. Caden ate every bit of it.
 Sleeping in our ugly hat.

Visiting Grandma Draper and Dellah

 Making scary face pizzas.

Reading our "magazine" AKA the Halloween ads
And wearing our underwear outside of our pajamas.
And finally, my favorite part of the month: #Convoswithourkids

While driving up to HannaLand, Tyler and I were trying to talk and we kept hearing Caden in the backseat saying, "excuse me guys... excuse me guys! We finally asked him what, and he responded, "Excuse me guys, but I think we're going to crash!"

We were talking with our neighbor and she was commenting about how cute Brynnli is and how she wanted to take her home, and Caden got all upset and told her, "But Brynnwi is our wittle sister, and we wuv her!"

If you ever want to know what I sound like when I get mad at the kids, just listen to Makayla go on one of her rants, "That's it. I'm not going to clean up your mess anymore Brynnli!"

I was commenting to someone how Brynnli is just so busy lately and it is exhausting to keep up with her, and Makayla piped in as serious as could be with, "Maybe we should throw her in the garbage."

Trick-or-Treat and Something Sweet

Halloween day was so much fun this year. We got together with Tyler's family for our annual Halloween/Birthday party.
Meet our adorable kids: Princess Anna from Frozen, Pirate Caden, and Tigger

We arrived at Tammy's and got to see everyone's costumes.

The Chavez family as witches and a werewolf.

The Jones family with a goul, Cubs baseball player, and a lion

Craig as Tom Brady and the deflated football scandal
Tammy and Bruce as the hunter and the deer...
Ryan and Beven as Popeye and a bear
Grandpa Collard as a clown and Lousie as an Eskimo
Now I don't want to brag or anything, but Tyler and I came up with the best costume of the night. We convinced Tracy and Terry to be part of Warren Jeffs' polygamist family.

We arrived a little later than everyone else, and Tyler pulled up the car with the tree of us in the back seat. Everyone was laughing hysterically, and it was so hard for us to keep a straight face. I have never laughed so hard as when I saw Terry and Tracy dressed up. Seriously the funniest costume. EVER! We seriously nailed it!

Wife #1 with Warren. I am his favorite wife.

I really don't think that costume could be topped.

A few more pictures for your enjoyment...

We had lunch, played Bingo, and then went Trick-or-Treating around Tammy's circle.

Brynn is not the smartest... she kept getting her head stuck in the railing.
After the party we came home and the kids got to go trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. They had so much fun and got way too much candy!

Halloween is so much fun with my cute little family!!! Until next year, Halloween.

Cutest Pumpkins in the Patch

We did so many fun things to help us get ready for Halloween this year. Of course we had to stop by the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins! We love this particular patch because it has Mater.

It didn't take the kids long to figure out their perfect pumpkin.

Tyler carried around one of his favorite pumpkins.
Then we went through a quick corn maze. Good thing we had these two to lead us. We might have been lost if it weren't for their great navigating skills.

And now an overload of family pictures...

We also went on a wagon ride.
And played on the tractors before it got too dark.

Then a few days later we got together with Tyler's family for dinner and carving pumpkins. I forgot my camera for the actual carving, but here's our completed pumpkins...

Kayla and Daddy carved a Happy Pumpkin
And Caden and I carved a skeleton and a "Go Utes".
We also found time to go to Gardner Village to find the witches. Of course the kids' favorite one was  "Witchy-poo"
Here's some other witches we found along the way...

And some pictures of our kids because they're that cute...

Then it was the kids' Halloween program at their preschool. Caden got to dress up in his pirate costume. He was so nervous to go on stage and he even cried as he was walking up there. His teachers later told us his sword broke right before, so that was probably why he was so sad... poor little guy!
His class was adorable and sang a halloweeen song for everyone.

Then Miss Launa made her special potion
After Caden got to go back to his classroom and have a party complete with cupcakes and lots of treats!

Caden was still a little upset about his sword until Daddy assured him we could fix it, then he had a blast at his party.
 Caden's cute class!
Grandma and Grandpa were so great to come and see Caden's program.

That night for dance Makayla got to dress up for her ballet class. She dressed up as a black cat.
On Friday it was Makayla's turn to go to her Halloween Party. Caden dressed up for the occasion.
Makayla was so excited to wear her Anna costume.
She was so proud to walk up on the stage.

Her class sang a song for us, and Makayla sang the loudest of her whole class.

After Miss Launa made the potion, Makayla got to go back to her classroom and have a party.
She was super excited Daddy got off work for a little bit to come see her program. Daddy had to dress up for work and he was the football player Tom Brady from the New England Patriots. He even had a deflated football and broken cell phone to complete the outfit.

 Makayla with her Minion teachers.
Both our cuties with their teachers.
Grandma and Grandpa came to Makayla's program too!
Later that day we went to see Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Bob. They had been on vacation and just got back, so we were lucky to show them our costumes this year.
All that fun and we weren't even to Halloween yet!
