That's Not All...

Wow! It seems like I have done so many posts for April already, but there's still my favorite one for the month: The April Leftovers!

I must be really adoring Brynnli when she's asleep because I took all of these pictures of her sleeping this month:

When she's not sleeping, we're usually running around doing errands while the big kids are at school.
Colton was baptized this month, so we took the opportunity to get a 4 generation picture of all 4 William Evans while they were all dressed up and spiffy.

Funny story: After Colton's baptism, Brynnli was jabbering and said, "Dat pobabee fun for Jerm-mey an Coton to taka baf!" Oh how I love this age and the cute things they say!!

Remember how crazy Utah weather is? One day you're wearing shorts and the next day you wake up to this...

Tyler's cousin Josh was in town with his family so Terry and Craig threw a little family party and we got this picture of some of Bill and Bonnie's great grand kids.
They were obviously very shocked they were related.
I got my hairs did. I always love getting my hair done, but I hate looking like this for a few hours...
I'm trying to be in style, so I went with the ombre look this time. I'm loving it and it's so nice to have a change.

We had some sad news this month. My cousin Anna's baby passed away Easter morning. I stole this picture from her Facebook page, so hopefully she doesn't mind.
Des was born last September with a heart condition. He had surgery when he was only 5 days old, and was placed on the heart transplant list a few months later. He spent his whole short 7 months in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant. I am truly amazed at Anna and Dallen's optimistic attitude through the whole experience, and I am absolutely heartbroken for their loss. We often talked about Desi at our house and it wasn't uncommon to hear Caden pray for him and ask, "please help Desi to get a new heart." Trying to explain to our kids that Desi passed away was really hard, and even today Caden asked me why Desi couldn't get a new heart.

It's sad when the only time you see your relatives is at weddings and funerals. We will take any opportunity to snap a picture of my Grandma with her kids.

On a lighter note, we celebrated my mom's birthday.
One day they turn 5 and 6 and the next day they're driving... and looking pretty stylish if you ask me.
We encourage our kids to protect their eyes from the damaging effects of inside lights.
Yep, more selfies in the car. I get really bored waiting to pick kids up from school. Plus I was having a really great hair day... thanks ombre!
Just eating quinoa for dinner. Our kids love it and they have no idea how healthy it is!
Caden started Spring soccer. He is doing so well and is the best player on his team. We are so proud of him and love that he has found a sport he loves.
The brother and sister who wear matching skirts and headbands together, stay together.
The weather was finally nice after a really long rainy week, so we headed out for a walk. Brynnli is miss independent and insists on walking by herself, until Daddy offers to put her on his shoulders.

Check out that view you guys! Gosh we are lucky to live here.
 Happy April!

Time For Your Check Up!

I was a brave old soul and took all three cuties in for checkups. Makayla's 6 year, Caden's 5 year and Brynnli's 2 1/2 year.

They all did great and no shots, so it was even better! Here's the stats and a quick update on our little cuties!

Makayla:
Weight: 50.4 lbs (70%)
Height: 47.8 (85%)

Makayla has always been tall for her age. In fact, I don't think she has ever been below the 70% in weight or height her whole life. I think she's destined to be a volleyball player someday, but for now she will stick to dance and tumbling! Speaking of which, Makayla is doing so well in dance. She is in a level 3 ballet class, is the youngest in her class, and is one of the best ones. She is doing so well in school and says her favorite subject is math. Makayla makes friends so easily and has quite a few in the neighborhood and at school. She is so helpful around the house and is my best little helper.

Caden:
Weight: 37.4 (23%)
Height: 41.5 (24%)

Caden is growing up so fast. He is excelling in soccer and just gets better and better each time. The best thing to watch is Caden's confidence grow and see how much he loves soccer. We are so proud of him! Caden is also doing well in school and is starting to read. He has picked up reading so fast, and he just loves getting a new book at preschool each week. Caden is definitely getting a mind of his own and insists on doing a lot of things by himself like getting ready in the morning and doing his own hair. He is still the best snuggler and gives the best hugs.

Brynnli:
Weight: 27.2 (25%)
Height: 35.6 (50%)

Do Brynnli's stats tell you the most obvious thing about her? She doesn't like to eat. Big surprise. I have no idea how she survives on what she eats. Most days she lives off of milk and goldfish crackers. Then other days she will eat 4 hot dogs for lunch. Brynnli definitely has a silly personality and likes to try to make you laugh. She is talking in full sentences and is so close to getting potty trained. We think she will get tired of waiting for us to potty train her and she will just do it herself.

Easter

Easter was great this year. We set out our Easter baskets on Saturday night and hoped the Easter bunny would bring us some surprises.

The next morning we looked all over the house for our baskets. Caden found his behind the couch.
The Easter Bunny brought Caden a new basket, The Lego Movie, and outfit, and some toys.
Caden also found Brynn's basket under the downstairs game table.
She got a new basket, and outfit, a new book, and some toys.

Makayla's basket was hiding upstairs in the bonus room. She also got a new basket, an outfit, the Trolls movie, and some toys.

Aww... they just look so cute in their new outfits!
We headed over to Grandma Terry and Grandpa Craig's house for a Easter hunt there.
They are all lined up ready to go!

The kids got spoiled with so many goodies and trinkets.

 Selfie time! Love this guy!

After the party at the Evans' we headed over to Grandpa Bob and Grandma Kathy's house for dinner and an Easter Egg hunt there.

I swear my mom hides way too many eggs, but the kids manage to find all of them in record time. The kids counted their money from the hunt

And Brynnli pretended to be a kitty. LOL!

Happy Easter!
