The Leftovers

With July almost over, here's a look back at some of the pictures that didn't make it into our other posts. I like to call this post "The Leftovers" and no, I'm not talking about food.

Have I ever told you what a slow eater Caden is? Seriously he is the slowest. The other day I timed him at breakfast and it took him an hour to eat a pop tart... AN HOUR!!! We think part of his problem is his tonsils, and he has an appointment in a few days, so hopefully we will know more then. Because he is such a slow eater, he is usually the last one at the dinner table. This is usually how he can be found after everyone has left and the dishes have been cleaned up.

Brynnli has become obsessed with the dishwasher. If I need to keep her busy for a while, I usually just pull down the dish washer and let her have at it with the utensils.
We went to the South Jordan splash pad with Karly and Kenzee.

Oh see, they really do love me!
Oh ya, remember how Brynnli thought it would be fun to stay up until almost 1 am? Ya, I didn't think it was fun either. She may have been taking the saying on her jammies a little too seriously.
Aww, but she looks like the perfect angel when she's sleeping!
With that cute little bum up in the air!
We also went to the zoo with Karly and Kenzee and went on the carousel.

We were hanging outside and Caden randomly came out with only his undies on... backwards... we were just glad he was wearing something.
I would like the record to show that he did the hip pop all on his own.
Oh, no surprise here... Brynnli's just making messes.
We met Daddy for lunch at Wheeler Farm and fed the ducks.

Makayla preferred to eat the old, stale bread instead.
Awww... I love this picture. Everything about it is perfect.
In case I haven't made it clear, Brynnli loves the dishwasher. And she loves making messes.

When I clean the floor, I turn the chairs into an obstacle course for the kids. They have fun climbing around for a few minutes.
Brynnli got stuck. It was funny.
Sometimes these two are the cutest friends. They were coloring pictures together on the same chair.
Then they wanted me to take pictures of them holding their pictures.

Some cute sayings this month include:
  • Caden randomly said to me one day, "I don't want a mean boy ta... ta... ta... eat me!" I told him I would try my best to keep him away from mean eating boys.
  • Makayla remembers the most random commercials. One day she told me, "Mom, 'One call, that's all.com!" Thanks to Kayla, we'll know who to call if we need an injury lawyer.
  • One of my favorite things is when the kids sing the "Missionary Song." It goes a little something like this: "I hope they call me on a mission, when I have grown a foot or two. And he has sent me here. Has given me an earthy home, with parents kind and dear."

#Sisters

These two are double the trouble... and double the cuteness in their coordinating outfits! I love that these two have such a special bond as sisters.

I love my girls!

Pioneer Weekend

We had an extra fun 24th of July weekend this year. Emily had her niece, Addie, stay with her, so we decided to go to the splash pad with our new friend. Normally the splash pad is really crowded, but this year we were pretty much the only ones there. The kids had a blast playing together.

How cute are these two in their almost matching swimsuits?

Brynnli was loving splashing in the water.

Then on Saturday we headed off to the Bees game. The kids got a balloon animal and insisted that they pose with it. Caden got a puppy and Makayla got a ladybug.

Brynnli couldn't figure out why she couldn't crawl all over the place, so we spent the majority of the night trying to get her asleep.
Regardless I think Brynnli loved her first baseball game (well, as much as a 10 month old can enjoy it).
After the game they had fireworks, which were seriously the best fireworks we have seen this month!

Princess in Training

Our little girl turned 10 months old today! We love this little girl more than she will ever know!

At 10 months Brynnli:
  • Still does not have any teeth.
  • Loves her bottle and baby food.
  • Does the cutest stink bug crawl with her little but in the air. It's even more hilarious when she does her speed crawl.
  • Sleeps through the night and takes two naps a day (9-11 and 2-4).
  • Waves every time she hears someone say "hi," "bye," or "night night".
  • Almost talks. Says some words that sound a whole lot like, "hi," and "Da-da."
  • If you ask her where her nose is, she puts her whole palm on her nose.
  • Shakes her head no, nods yes, and yells at us when we're not paying attention to her. I guess you can tell who is the boss around here.
  • Loves to crawl on the ottoman and couch, and tries to crawl away from us when we try to get her down.
  • Has the cutest fake laugh and thinks her mom and dad are pretty funny!
  • Loves her brother and sister, even when they kick her out of the room when she's trying to play with them.
  • Loves to pull all of the silverware out of the dishwasher.
  • Loves to make messes.
  • And of course is still a little Princess in training. She has all of our hearts! We love our Brynn!

Draper Days

The Evans/Jones/Taylor/Chavez/Kiniry clan all made our way to Draper Days for a free Collin Raye concert and fireworks!

Get ready for a picture overload of Brynnli because she was being the absolute cutest baby crawling all over and dancing.

She ended up sitting between Tracy and Jeremy. We thought Brynnli found a new best friend, until we later figured out Tracy was sneaking her cookies and licorice.

We danced to the music and sang along to all of the songs we knew.

Then it was time for the fireworks!

Love this fun time of year and my cute little family!
