We Did Other Things This Month Besides Party

Although it may seem like all we did this month was party (and we certainly did that), I took some pictures of our everyday life too.

Brynnli is busy. And she's messy. She doesn't like to sit in her high chair and throws her food on the floor every time. After she's out of her high chair she likes to eat her food off the floor...go figure!

Brynnli loves bath time. This particular night Caden was taking a bath and Brynnli decided to hop in fully clothed.
I don't know if I mentioned it yet, but Makayla has started dance again. She takes tumbling on Tuesdays and Ballet/Jazz on Thursdays. Makayla said she likes ballet better because she gets to get all "pinked up". When we get her ready for class she insists I take a picture of her... every week. I tried to explain that we don't need to take a picture of her all the time, but she didn't listen.

Oral hygiene... it's important people!
We had Oreos one night and the kids thought they were hilarious when they made their Oreo eyes.

This is why you don't leave Daddy home to take care of the kids. No pants and a biker hat. And don't even get me started on the big boobs.
Makayla insisted on wearing her sunglasses to pre-school one day.
Before our trip to Park City we ran into the fire fighters at Wal-mart and they let the kids hop in their fire truck.

Brynnli is obsessed with climbing. She got stuck on the pantry shelf
She also loves to climb on the table.

Oh man, this guy. He sure makes life fun! Just trying out our selfie skills.

 He's a pirate, says I!
On September 27th there was a Total Lunar Eclipse. This only happens once every 33 years. We had a little Blood Moon party  on the patio with Oreos. The kids were pretty excited until they actually saw it. We must have talked it up too much.
These are the best pictures I could get of it.

The kids' favorite part was looking through the "goggles" as Makayla would say and "blonca-lers" as Caden would say.

Makayla loves helping take care of her sister. The cute bond  these girls have is adorable.

We'll end this month's post with a new segment I would like to call #convoswiththekids

MAKAYLA:  4 Years Old:
**We were having lunch at Panda Express and Makayla was eating her fortune cookie.**
Me: "Makayla, your fortune says, 'opportunity is knocking. Answer the door.'"
Makayla: "Unless it's a stranger. Then you shouldn't open the door."
Glad to see some of our conversations about strangers are actually sinking in.

Makayla talking to Brynnli: "I'm not a toy, Brynnli!"

CADEN: 3 Years old:

Tyler: "Caden, do you want some help?"
Caden: "Brynnwii, you can't help because you don't know how to clean up because you just make a mess."

**Tyler reading the kids a Jake the Pirate book called, "Cubby's Mixed up Map."**
Tyler: "Caden, quit playing with your dinghy."
Caden: "But I don't have a dinghy!"
Tyler: "Ya, sure?"

"I'm all churched up!"

**We've been practicing letter with Caden, and one day we were talking about things that start with the letter "G"***
Caden: "Ga, Ga, Ga... Enchawada!"

**Caden trying to get our attention**
"Can you pwease stop tawking and wisten to me?"

**Looking at Halloween costumes**
Me: "Caden, are you sure you want to be a pirate? We can look at other stores"
Caden: "Yes, yes, I want to be a pirate, says I!"

BRYNNLI: 1 year old:

You know you are the youngest child when your first words are, "DOP!" (Stop) and "DOH!" (Don't)

The Big ONE!

One year ago today we got the biggest rush when we were surprised with a baby girl!

I don't know how, but this year flew by faster than I believed possible. Now here we are with an adorable one year old!

We took Brynnli for a little birthday photo shoot, and let's just say our little girl was very photogenic! We had so many pictures to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down, but here are some of our favorites!

Brynnli is the sweetest little girl. She is very easy going and content to go where ever with us. She gets so excited about everything. Brynnli loves her big sister and brother, but especially loves mom and dad! We love our little girl more that she will ever know, and we feel so lucky we get to call her ours for the rest of our lives! We love you Brynn-Brynn!

Pink Lemonade and Summertime Fun

Brynnli's 1st birthday was a success! I have been planning her first birthday theme for a while now, and I couldn't wait to throw her a "PINK LEMONADE" party!

 Here are her cute invitations:

*Pink Lemonade and Summertime Fun. Join us as we celebrate Brynnli turning ONE!

We had our families over for a bar-b-q. We love that Brynnli was born in September so we can celebrate outside. We had a cute Brynnli-sized pink lemonade stand for her.

Balloons for the birthday girl!
Of course we had pink lemonade for her party complete with a picture of her at the lemonade stand from her photo shoot.

We had pink and yellow cupcakes!
and pictures of her on all the tables.
For dinner we had hamburgers and hotdogs, then we moved right into presents!

Brynnli was spoiled with a lot of clothes (like 10 different outfits) and toys. She is going to be stylin' this season!!

After presents we moved into singing Happy Birthday. I love this picture of Brynnli. It's almost like she can't believe she is one year old either!
Brynnli got her very own pink and yellow smash cake.
She didn't quite know what to think of it at first.

But then she dug right in.

At some point Caden ran in the house to get a spoon, and then helped himself to her cake. Cutest pictures ever!

The end result was a mess, but she loved her first taste of frosting!

We had to give her a bath after that huge mess.

On Brynnli's actual birthday on Wednesday, we started off by having breakfast. I made Brynnli eggs, but she didn't really love them.
Later that day we went to the park.

And then met Daddy for Brynnli's birthday dinner at IHOP
Brynn's birthday dinner included pancakes, mac and cheese, pickles, and fruit. Weird right? But she ate it all gone!

After dinner we went home to open Brynn's presents.
She got clothes and a stacking toy.

But she was more interested in the box.

Later that night we all played with her toys. Who knew this toy could entertain kids from age 1-32!
We topped off the night with Oreos!

 Brynnli,

We can't express how lucky we feel to have you in our family. You are truly the perfect addition to our family and the perfect way to complete our family. We love how happy you are when you wake up. We love how you love to cuddle at night. We love how you love to try to play with Makayla and Caden. We love that you are starting to talk and show us your bossy personality. We love you more than you will ever know and can't wait to see how you continue to grow this next year.
