Back to School Time

"It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"

Just kidding. I say that I'm ready for the kids to go back to school, but the truth is that I love having them home in the summer. I love that we can be lazy and sleep in. I love that we can do fun things during the day. I love that we don't have to do homework every night. And I really am going to miss these cuties while they're in school all day.

Caden is in 2nd grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Vea
Caden wants to be a professional baseball player and his favorite subjects are drama, P.E, and Lunch.

Makayla is in 3rd grade this year and her teacher is Mrs. Huish.
Makayla wants to be a professional gymnast when she grows up and her favorite subjects are drama and P.E.

They are so ready to take on the year and I know they will do so great and learn so much this year because they are amazing, smart, and kind kids!

Then just a few days later Brynnli had her first day of her second year at Little Learners Academy Preschool.

Brynnli wants to be a ballerina when she grows up and her favorite subject is singing time. Oh, and her teachers are Miss Aubrey and Miss Karly... AKA the dream team because her teachers are so good!

As I look at these pictures, I just can't believe how fast time is going.

Summer Got us Like...

Summer's got us like...
The long, hot days of summer are here. The kids are getting bored, mom's losing her patience, the countdown to school is on.
But check out this hair! I am so jealous of Makayla. I wish she would let me do her hair like this more often, but she hates getting her hair done.
We had such a fun night at the Bees game. After playing musical chairs for the first few innings, we finally settled in some seats and didn't watch the game.
After the game Caden got one of the players to sign his baseball.
Spending our last few days of summer break at the splash pad.
And the movie theater. Seriously, kid summer movies saved me this year.

I always love buying Halloween costumes in the summer so that my kids can change their mind a few times before Halloween.
We ordered a Little Caesars Pizza one night, but come on? Who sliced this thing?
We love spending summer nights out by the fire.
But Tyler may have been ready for bed...
Do you know why Tyler is the best? Because he does cheer photos with Makayla. He will make a great cheer dad!

Our lives consist of Cheer and Baseball and we love it!

Did you know that there is such a day as National Left Handed Day? It's a real day... so here's to my favorite leftie!
Brynn leaves the cutest notes for all of us to find. And look how cute Brynnli is writing her name! She's only 4!

The kids have had a few Lemonade Stands this summer. They have earned almost $40 and they are still adamant that they want to donate it to the fire fighters.
We decided to take the kids to a drive in movie and it was so much fun! We will definitely have to add that to our list next year.

Gettin' my birthday celebration on early this year.
It's almost back to school time! Brynnli had her back to school night at Little Learners. I can't believe this will be our last year with a preschooler! That makes me so sad.

Caden got to be the catcher at one of his games. How cute is he in all of his gear?

So after months of consultations and stressing, we finally chose an orthodontist and Makayla got braces. She got them on August 21st, so she could steal my birthday thunder. I have never seen a person more excited to get braces.

That is until they were on and the expander was in... then she wasn't too sure. But how cute does she look? The expander makes her talk a little funny, but she is learning how to talk with it.

I tuned 36... that sounds kind of old.
One last day at the splash pad before summer is over, and I can't help but wonder who this California dream boat is?

Tyler and I got to go out for my birthday. I wanted my usual... lunch at Cheesecake Factory, a movie and shopping
And dessert at The Melting Pot.
It was a great birthday! I guess turning 36 isn't too bad after all.

More birthday celebrations and it looks like the kids found the dessert.

And just like that our Summer Bucket List is complete.
 It was a great summer!
