March Madness

Remember how I told you in last month's post that Brynn's fake tooth has become the story that doesn't end? Well we got her tooth back and we took her back in to get it cemented in, only to find out that the band doesn't fit, so they had to send it back again. Fast forward a few more weeks, and they cemented her tooth back in, only to have it come out the next day. I was getting pretty frustrated and starting to lose hope that this was going to work, but luckily we have a very caring (new) dentist who took the time to listen to me and understand why it was so important for her tooth to be in, and he came up with a new solution: we are going to wait about a month for her back molars to come in and then re-make the bands to fit on the back teeth (which is the ideal spot anyway). I just hope so badly this new solution works. In the mean time, Brynn has figured out this dentist thing and is the best patient. She walks right in, sits on the chair, tells them what smell she wants for her laughing gas, tells the assistant it smells like coconuts (no matter what the smell is) and then informs all of us that she doesn't want the headphones on, she will just watch the movie. She basically has us all laughing at her cuteness. Oh, and by the way, Brynn was completely off binkies, but we told her she could have them when we go to the dentist... bribery at its finest.

But how can you resist this cutie on the potty?
I got my hairs did this month, so here's a bunch of selfies on good hair days.

We had a family movie day at the movie theater.
Selfies in the car because your 3 year old falls asleep. I thought we were supposed to be done with naps by this age?
Tyler and I went on a cleanse diet this month. We could have unlimited veggies, so we had to come up with some creative ways to get our veggies in... I present to you... steak cabbage. It was really good!
This little cutie likes to run errands with me and thinks the mannequins at the store are all objects for her to pose next to.
Makayla has just blossomed in reading this year. She loves to read, and it just makes my nerdy English teacher side burst with joy! Makayla loves "Ready Freddy" books and can read the whole book in a day.
Makayla and Caden had great reports at Parent Teacher Night, so we celebrated with ice cream.
The kids talked me into taking them to Arctic Circle because they wanted the bunnies in the kids meal. I seriously paid $17 for them to not eat their lunch and get a toy that probably costs 1.00
Tyler and his family did the trap shoot again this year. It was at the Lee Kay Gun Club. I actually liked it a whole lot better here, but a lot of Tyler's family said it just wasn't the same. Tyler's team was really good, but not good enough to get any awards.

Some weeks were good, and others, not so much.

The Tooth Fairy is still super busy around our house. Makayla lost her other front tooth this month. She even pulled it out all by herself.

Family movie night is Brynn's favorite night of the week.

Makayla's class had an Easter parade at school. They sang a few songs and then had a candy scramble.

We got a new fire pit. I can just tell a lot of our summer nights will be spent outside with this amazing view.
Brynn follows appropriate safety precautions when she's by the fire.

A St. Patrick's Day to Remember

We had a very fun and memorable St. Patrick's Day this year. Makayla and Caden are so cute and decided they wanted to set a trap to see if they could catch Lucky the Leprechaun. They left lots of green treats and a pot of gold for him.

Unfortunately they just weren't tricky enough this year and he managed to escape. He did play some tricks on us again this year. He turned our milk green
He left us a note and some surprises.
 Moved all of our furniture.
And peed in the toilet again and forgot to flush. Silly Leprechaun!

After running a few errands that day, I came home to find the house completely cleaned and the piano music playing. It took me a few minutes to find everyone, but when I walked down stairs, I saw all of these cuties on one knee. The kids yelled, "will you marry us!?" and came running toward me. I started to cry and couldn't believe how lucky I am to have such an amazing husband and three adorable kids. Tyler gave me a ring and asked if I would marry all of us. I said yes of course!

How cute is that poster? Tyler and all the kids wrote the sweetest notes to me! Tyler even got me white flowers... he's a keeper for sure!

You might be wondering what this proposal is all about? I mean, we are married already. Well, Tyler and I have had the desire for a few years now to have our family sealed in the temple. We've worked towards our goal and gained a strong testimony along the way. We decided on our 9th anniversary to have our family sealed together for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple! I am so grateful for my family, especially Tyler. He is such a good person, a hard worker, a loving husband, and an amazing father. I can't wait for the moment when our kids come into the sealing room and we all kneel together in the temple to be sealed together.

We have the perfect life together and I can't wait for the rest of eternity!

This was definitely a St. Patrick's Day to remember!
