April Showers Bring May Flowers

We had so many fun things happen in April, but here's a few pictures that didn't make it into our other posts:

April Fools Day was hilarious this year. Makayla put a sign in Tyler's car that said, "Honk and wave." Tyler said he couldn't figure out why all these random people were honking at his on his way to work.  Tyler played a lot of tricks on the kids. He put salt on their toothbrushes. Some of the kids thought it was funnier than others.

He also messed with their backpacks and jackets so they couldn't put them on the right way. Looks like we all better be on guard for next year.

How cute is this cutie? I love spending my days with her. She wakes up in the morning and starts talking and doesn't stop talking until she goes to bed. I love how she insists on bringing toys in her purse whenever we run errands.
And somehow she manages to convince me that we NEED to go out to lunch because she doesn't like any of the food we have at home.
 Brynn really is "Ear-resistable"
And she never fails to crack us up with her interesting outfit changes. She changes her outfit at least 5 times a day.

Brynnli likes to pretend she's a dog, but she really gets into character. She would only eat her lunch off the floor and would only drink out of the bowl.

How cute are her preschool pictures?
Oh, this girl truly is the life of the party and we are all just living in it.

Caden is loving baseball this year and we absolutely love watching him.

Now if we could just get the weather to cooperate so he can actually play the games!

Makayla is seriously the best big sister. She reads to Brynnli at night sometimes. I love the special bond these two have.

Makayla is really growing up lately. She sometimes gets into mischief and is definitely learning to push our buttons and be a little defiant, but she is also the most reliable and the most responsible 8 year old out there.
 Selfie Sunday...

Hey, remember how we have been wanting a shed for a few years now and remember how last fall we finally poured the cement for our shed?
Well, it's finally done and we absolutely love it! Now our garage is clean and organized and we will have a place to store all of our patio furniture so we can actually have room in our garage.

Now it's on to the next project!

Tyler's team did so well in the trap shoot this year and they ended up with a 4 way tie for 2nd place.

We love the three weeks at the trap shoot!

Tyler has really become a great photographer since getting his iPhone 10 with portrait mode. I tease him, but he really does take good pictures of my favorite tree.

Remember our neighborhood duck that comes back every year? It turns out she is laying eggs in our backyard, right by our patio!

We noticed she kept going just under our patio door. She would come back about the same time every day. We noticed she was laying eggs and then burying them. We did some research and found out that ducks lay one egg per day until they have about 10, then they begin the nesting period where they sit continuously on the eggs until they hatch. Looks like in a couple of weeks we will have some cute baby ducks in our backyard!
Kind of fun, but this is as close as our kids will ever get to having a pet.

Easter

Another Easter in the books! The kids set out their Easter baskets the night before hoping the Easter bunny would visit.

They spent all morning looking for their baskets. Caden found his first. It was upstairs in the playroom. He got a new outfit, a new Bae Blade, and some candy.

Makayla found her's next. It was under the kitchen sink. She got a new outfit and a watch so that she can always see 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, and 5:55. Silly girl!
Brynn found her's last. It was in the basement bathroom in the shower.
She also got a new outfit and some Play-doh... her favorite.
Then it was off to church in their cute outfits in front of my favorite flowering tree.

After church we headed to Terry and Craig's house for dinner and the hunt there.

Baby Mac looks like he really enjoyed his first Easter.
But I know our kids loved it. They love walking around looking for their names on all their goodies.

 Great photo bomb there, Karly!
Caden was so cute with Mason. He played peek-a-boo with him and insisted on reading him a book.

Mason stared at Caden the whole time and kept trying to "talk" to him. It was seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen. I hope these two will be cute little buddies some day.
I really love Easter, not because of the Easter Bunny, but because of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Tyler and I spent a lot of time studying the last week of Christ's life. It was interesting to learn more about Passover and the symbolism of Christ's Atonement. I'll admit that I have never really taken the time to learn about it, but it made so much sense to me this year. I am so grateful for my Savior and his Atoning sacrifice for me. I am so grateful that I can be forgiven and I can forgive others. I know Christ lives and I know that through him we can be perfected to live with Heavenly Father again. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus know each one of us and loves us. I'm grateful for this time of year to reflect on Christ's Atonement.
