Do You Remember the 21st night of September

Now you have that song stuck in you head, don't you? "Ba-de-ya, say do you remember? Ba de ya, dancing in September"

Here's a few random pics to end our September month:

On a scale of 1 to 10, how mad do you think Tyler was that he had to cut a hole in our brand new finished basement because we discovered a leak in the wall? I would say a level 10 because he thought the leak was higher in the wall, but it wasn't, so he had to cut a hole lower and now we have two holes. Good news is that it was an easy fix.
Tyler's cousin Josh was in town and we got to catch up with him and his family.
Bella is just the best.
Caden had to have a baby tooth pulled so that he can hopefully get his second set of braces next year. Look at the root on that thing.. that was not going to come out on its own.

Menchies date with Daddy and the kids.
And having fun with Brynnli's new game she got from her birthday.

One more practice hike to prepare for the big hike next month. This time they had to pack all their gear and see if they could hike with all the extra weight.

The girls got their dance pictures and man are they amazing! Our girls are so beautiful and talented. The reason Makayla has more pictures than Brynn is because the package we bought came with 3 images, but Makayla had a hard time choosing her favorites so she purchased two more pictures with her own money.

Makayla is on Xpress and Brynn is on Peridot. They are going to have an amazing year!

One last Lagoon trip with the Jones. We love our Lagoon season passes.

Brynn is just playing Doctor and Dentist with all her new Dr. notepads she got for her birthday. I question her diagnosis, but her cuteness made up for it.

Baby or puppy?
We went to Chick-fil-a for the school spirit night and when I got out of the car I noticed I had on two different shoes. I had to walk into the restaurant like this and I was so embarrassed!!

Who Vacationed Better?

We split up this weekend and had a girls trip and a boys trip. The boys went on their much anticipated and practiced overnight hike to Granddaddy Lake, and the girls went to Logan to see Thriller. The question remains, who vacationed better? I will present the evidence and let you decide.

The boys had to wake up super early and drive to Hanna.
The girls slept in and went to the store so we could have a candy salad for our hour drive to Logan.
The boys went with the young men and some of the leaders from our ward. They hiked about 5 miles in.

The girls drove through Logan Canyon and saw all the beautiful fall colors, checked into our hotel, and went shopping.

The boys fished on lake and ate their dehydrated dinner.
The girls and I ate at my favorite place when I was in college... Firehouse Pizzeria.

The boys set up their tent for their cold night.
The girls went to Odyssey's dance production of Thriller, which was so good and had all of my favorite dances.

The girls stayed up late at the pool.
The boys went to bed early, but woke up early to this amazing view. I don't know if I've ever seen anything so pretty. I'm sure seeing this in person was even better.

The boys went fishing
The girls swam again and somehow talked me into getting them Starbucks.

I took the girls on a tour of Utah State University where I graduated from college.

I took them to the famous "A" and told them how to become a True Aggie which requires kissing someone on the A on Homecoming night under the moon. I may or may not have become a True Aggie multiple times during my college days.

The girls did tricks on the quad.

While the boys got packed up for their long hike back. But look at those smiles. I think they had fun.

The girls learned all about my many, many classes in the Ray B West building which was infested with box elder bugs. Still makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Our last stop was to Juniper Take Out for lunch which was where all of my roommates worked during college. I had their cauliflower soup, which was just as amazing as I remembered.

So after presenting all of the evidence, who do you think vacationed better? I think the girls and the boys both had a great time and believe this should become a yearly tradition!! What do you think?
