We were surprised too!
Makayla helped us make the big announcement that Baby Evans #2 is due in early April. The front of her shirt says, "Oops They Did It Again"
And the back of the shirt says, "I'm Going To Be A Big Sister"
We are so excited!!! A little nervous about having two kids under two, but hopefully they will be best of friends. I'm about 17 weeks pregnant now (a little over 4 months). I didn't know I was pregnant... I used to hear people say that, but I didn't understand how they didn't know... well, now I know. Long story short, I was breast feeding Makayla and never had any of the "normal" pregnancy symptoms or signs. I was tired, but I just chalked that up to getting up at night with Makayla. I never had any morning sickness. It wasn't until I started back to work the end of August. I would get home from work absolutely starving, and then feel so nausious after. I decided to take a pregnancy test after a few days of this happening. Sure enough it was positive!
I told Tyler that night. We sat down on the couch and I told him. His eyes got all big and he got a huge smile on his face and he said, "that's so exciting!" We spent the rest of the night talking about how excited we were and how much our lives were going to change even more.
When finally went into the doctor in late September. I thought at that point I was maybe 6 weeks pregnant. The doctor did an ultrasound since we couldn't pinpoint the date. Surprise to us I was 13 weeks pregnant! I couldn't believe it. It was nice to know that I was already past the first trimester. I squeeked by with hardly any morning sickness at all!
Now we wait for a few weeks to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. My gut is telling me a boy (I can name at least 10 people who have either had boys within the last few months, or who are pregnant with boys now).
We can't wait for our little baby to make his or her debut! We are so excited and can't wait for our little family of 4!

YAHOO, I am SOOOO excited for you guys!!
ReplyDeleteThis experience could have been written by me when I was expecting Dayna! Exact same thing, I was breast feeding and everyone at that time had the "hong kong flu" which was one that kept coming back on them, so I thought I had a touch of that, and when I finally realized I was pregnant, it was because I was feeling life! I was almost 4 months! It was great because the pregnancy seemed so short. Haha! So congratulations! they will be great friends and new baby Evans will be here before you know it!
