Da-Goon

AKA Lagoon. We got a last minute call on Saturday from a family friend who said she had 3 extra Lagoon tickets that she couldn't use and was wondering if we wanted them. We were planning on going to the county fair that night but decided Lagoon sounded more fun, so we packed up the kids and were off to Lagoon.

I was scared for Caden on the rides, so we didn't get him a ticket, but he got to go on the train and the merry-go-round for free. I was nervous for Kayla too, so we started out on a ride that we could all go on: the kids version of the Tidal Wave.

Kayla was a champ and had so much fun. She was screaming and laughing the entire ride.

We thought since she did so well on that ride we would try Puff. Guess what? She loved this ride too. There is not a single scared bone in her body.
After Puff we decided to go on a ride that all of us could go on so we went on the Carousel.
Kayla was way excited, but Caden didn't know what to think. He was holding on to the handle so tight.
Doesn't that worried little look just melt your heart?

Our next stop was the boats. This was Makayla's first ride by herself and I was nervous she would try to jump out, but she didn't and loved it as much as all the other rides.

Next she went on the cars

We took a train ride next so that Caden could go with us. He loved the train and kept screaming when he saw all the animals.

We stopped for dinner and Tyler and I just sat there and stared at our kids. I just don't know how these two can be so cute.

Since Makayla was so brave we started to find every ride she could go on. Tyler took her on the tea cups.

And Cader-tot and I took some time for a "selfie"

Caden was the best little boy the entire day. He loved being in the stroller and looking at all the fun things. It was sad though when Makayla would go on the rides because he wanted to be right there with her.

The ride that surprised us the most was Bombora. It is a full out roller coaster. Tyler took Makayla first and she loved it! She was screaming and laughing the entire time. When she got off the ride she wanted to go again, so I took her a second time. See, not a scared bone in her body!

To end the night we went on the mini rocket, whales, train ride (again), jeeps, and the swings.
It was about 10 pm and the kids were pretty tired (plus Makayla was going strong all day with just a 20 min nap). We officially ended the night on the Carousel again.

I think Lagoon was a success! We can't wait to go again next year when Caden can go on all the rides too.
