The Leftovers

With July almost over, here's a look back at some of the pictures that didn't make it into our other posts. I like to call this post "The Leftovers" and no, I'm not talking about food.

Have I ever told you what a slow eater Caden is? Seriously he is the slowest. The other day I timed him at breakfast and it took him an hour to eat a pop tart... AN HOUR!!! We think part of his problem is his tonsils, and he has an appointment in a few days, so hopefully we will know more then. Because he is such a slow eater, he is usually the last one at the dinner table. This is usually how he can be found after everyone has left and the dishes have been cleaned up.

Brynnli has become obsessed with the dishwasher. If I need to keep her busy for a while, I usually just pull down the dish washer and let her have at it with the utensils.
We went to the South Jordan splash pad with Karly and Kenzee.

Oh see, they really do love me!
Oh ya, remember how Brynnli thought it would be fun to stay up until almost 1 am? Ya, I didn't think it was fun either. She may have been taking the saying on her jammies a little too seriously.
Aww, but she looks like the perfect angel when she's sleeping!
With that cute little bum up in the air!
We also went to the zoo with Karly and Kenzee and went on the carousel.

We were hanging outside and Caden randomly came out with only his undies on... backwards... we were just glad he was wearing something.
I would like the record to show that he did the hip pop all on his own.
Oh, no surprise here... Brynnli's just making messes.
We met Daddy for lunch at Wheeler Farm and fed the ducks.

Makayla preferred to eat the old, stale bread instead.
Awww... I love this picture. Everything about it is perfect.
In case I haven't made it clear, Brynnli loves the dishwasher. And she loves making messes.

When I clean the floor, I turn the chairs into an obstacle course for the kids. They have fun climbing around for a few minutes.
Brynnli got stuck. It was funny.
Sometimes these two are the cutest friends. They were coloring pictures together on the same chair.
Then they wanted me to take pictures of them holding their pictures.

Some cute sayings this month include:
  • Caden randomly said to me one day, "I don't want a mean boy ta... ta... ta... eat me!" I told him I would try my best to keep him away from mean eating boys.
  • Makayla remembers the most random commercials. One day she told me, "Mom, 'One call, that's all.com!" Thanks to Kayla, we'll know who to call if we need an injury lawyer.
  • One of my favorite things is when the kids sing the "Missionary Song." It goes a little something like this: "I hope they call me on a mission, when I have grown a foot or two. And he has sent me here. Has given me an earthy home, with parents kind and dear."
