Although it may seem like all we did this month was party (and we certainly did that), I took some pictures of our everyday life too.
Brynnli is busy. And she's messy. She doesn't like to sit in her high chair and throws her food on the floor every time. After she's out of her high chair she likes to eat her food off the floor...go figure!
Brynnli loves bath time. This particular night Caden was taking a bath and Brynnli decided to hop in fully clothed.
I don't know if I mentioned it yet, but Makayla has started dance again. She takes tumbling on Tuesdays and Ballet/Jazz on Thursdays. Makayla said she likes ballet better because she gets to get all "pinked up". When we get her ready for class she insists I take a picture of her... every week. I tried to explain that we don't need to take a picture of her all the time, but she didn't listen.
Oral hygiene... it's important people!
We had Oreos one night and the kids thought they were hilarious when they made their Oreo eyes.Makayla insisted on wearing her sunglasses to pre-school one day.
Before our trip to Park City we ran into the fire fighters at Wal-mart and they let the kids hop in their fire truck.
Brynnli is obsessed with climbing. She got stuck on the pantry shelf
She also loves to climb on the table.
He's a pirate, says I!
On September 27th there was a Total Lunar Eclipse. This only happens once every 33 years. We had a little Blood Moon party on the patio with Oreos. The kids were pretty excited until they actually saw it. We must have talked it up too much.
These are the best pictures I could get of it.
The kids' favorite part was looking through the "goggles" as Makayla would say and "blonca-lers" as Caden would say.
Makayla loves helping take care of her sister. The cute bond these girls have is adorable.
We'll end this month's post with a new segment I would like to call #convoswiththekids
MAKAYLA: 4 Years Old:
**We were having lunch at Panda Express and Makayla was eating her fortune cookie.**
Me: "Makayla, your fortune says, 'opportunity is knocking. Answer the door.'"
Makayla: "Unless it's a stranger. Then you shouldn't open the door."
Glad to see some of our conversations about strangers are actually sinking in.
Makayla talking to Brynnli: "I'm not a toy, Brynnli!"
CADEN: 3 Years old:
Tyler: "Caden, do you want some help?"
Caden: "Brynnwii, you can't help because you don't know how to clean up because you just make a mess."
**Tyler reading the kids a Jake the Pirate book called, "Cubby's Mixed up Map."**
Tyler: "Caden, quit playing with your dinghy."
Caden: "But I don't have a dinghy!"
Tyler: "Ya, sure?"
"I'm all churched up!"
**We've been practicing letter with Caden, and one day we were talking about things that start with the letter "G"***
Caden: "Ga, Ga, Ga... Enchawada!"
**Caden trying to get our attention**
"Can you pwease stop tawking and wisten to me?"
**Looking at Halloween costumes**
Me: "Caden, are you sure you want to be a pirate? We can look at other stores"
Caden: "Yes, yes, I want to be a pirate, says I!"
BRYNNLI: 1 year old:
You know you are the youngest child when your first words are, "DOP!" (Stop) and "DOH!" (Don't)
