Red... White... Blue

I love the 4th of July, I love it even more when we can celebrate it at Hanna Land. We had a big group with us this year and it was so much fun.

Saturday morning we ran the Tabiona 5K, and Makayla decided she wanted to run it with us. I ran it with her for a few minutes, but decided to run ahead, so she ran/walked it with Tammy, Karly, Ryan, and Bevan. I was so proud of her for finishing it. 3 miles is a long way for a little girl!

After a quick shower we headed back for the parade. I say this every year, but the Tabiona parade is the best/cutest parade you will ever see. It is not fancy, by any means, but it is short and they hand out a lot of candy. Here's a few pictures of my little firecrackers. Gosh I love them!

 Cousin time!

Like father, like son...
The kids got way too much candy.

And she has way too much sass for a 2 year old.

Tyler and I like to wear matching shirts to show off the fact we ran 3 miles.

We also went on a lot of 4 wheeler rides. Tyler took us on "the loop"... it took me a while to figure it out, but it was one of the places Tyler and I used to go all the time when we were dating. We even went up to "make-out point" to gross out Carson.
How cute are these cousins? They were holding hands so they wouldn't get scared.
These two are best friends and the cutest cousins around.

We did a few sparklers at our house

Then went to Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Bob's house that night for a bar-b-q. It was quite possibly the most interesting bar-b-q with a lot of unexpected guests. I was speechless for most of the night. But these cuties reminded me of what's most important.

The rest of my family didn't stay around for fireworks, so it was just our little family and my parents for a great fire work show.

I think these faces say it all

Happy 4th of July! I am so grateful to live this this country where we get to enjoy the many freedoms that we do. I'm grateful to spend time with my family and be reminded of what is really important in life.
