The Many Adventures of May

Here's a few pictures leftover from May:

Just hanging out at the park during Caden's baseball practice.

Don't quite know why Brynnli ventured out into the front yard without pants on...
Oh you can just smell the summer nights that are ahead, can't you?

Playing games with the family and Makayla and Grandpa Collard won first place!

Celebrating Grandpa Collard's birthday!

I put all the kids to work one school morning. I love that they are getting old enough to really help with chores.

Brynnli ends up in our bed almost every night. I'll let you in on a little secret... I really love it, but don't tell anyone.
My best friend Emily is moving to Atlanta, Georgia because he husband got a new job. We celebrated the end of an era with a night at Cheesecake Factory.
Brynnli made our bed one morning. She actually did a really great job and was so proud of herself.
Remember Haylie? Well her ducklings finally hatched! We noticed late one night one cute little duckling's head poking out from underneath Haylie.
The next morning she guided 9 cute little ducklings around our backyard. The kids named them Quackers, Cutie, Cookie, Waddles, Kitty, Bun-bun, Pickles, Lily, and Lola.

But guess what? I took the kids to school and when I got back they were gone! Apparently the mom duck only stays by her nest for about 12 hours after the eggs hatch, then she has to get the ducks to a water source. All of that for one morning? And to make matters worse, she left the mess for us to clean up!
It was so much fun for the kids though, and that's what matters!

We spent Memorial Day at The Land. Baby Mason was a hit, especially with Caden. Some days I wonder if we should adopt a little brother for him.

This year marks 30 years since Terry and Craig bought The Land. They had to take the customary picture in the same spot...
My, how the family has grown!
