No Plans, Just Sun Tans... In Maui!!!!

For our 10 year anniversary we celebrated big... In MAUI!!!

I'm not joking when I tell you this was an absolute dream vacation. Seriously, it was the best vacation I have EVER had... and that's saying a lot!
We were so excited the night before we left, I don't think either of us even slept.
On our first flight to LA!
I got sick on our flight from Salt Lake to LA, so I took a Dramamine and I was out cold for the 5 hour flight to Maui.
 Look, there it is!
When we got our rental car they upgraded us to a sports car, so we got to drive around Maui in a Mustang Convertible!! Needless to say, we were pretty stoked.

We got to our hotel and just explored. Can you believe this was where we stayed? The pool with a view of the ocean.

This was our view from our hotel room with a perfect view of the ocean.

 The sunset was AMAZING!!!

Our second day we decided to take the Road to Hana. We took our time and enjoyed the destination.

We stopped at a few of the places along the way and explored.

One of my favorite places was called "The Garden of Eden" it had spectacular views of the ocean.

 Check out this tree!
We stopped along the way for some banana bread.
We went to a black sand beach

Saw some amazing waterfalls.

And ended at the Seven Sacred Pools.

On our way back to our hotel we played "The Game" which left us hangry! We decided to try a restaurant that looked like was very popular with a lot of cars parked in front. We had to valet park and as we were walking in Tyler had a feeling we were at a very fancy restaurant. While we were waiting to be seated, Tyler looked up the menu and it was like $60 a plate. I told Tyler I didn't want to spend that much, but we didn't know how to leave, so we told the hostess our kids were sick and we needed to go. She looked at us funny and probably knew the real reason we were leaving. We walked the walk of shame to the valet who also gave us a weird look as he went to get our car that he just parked. And we laughed the rest of the way back to our hotel!

Day 3 we spent the entire day snorkeling and relaxing at the beach. Snorkeling was amazing! We even saw 2 sea turtles!

The bad news? I didn't think I needed sunscreen and I got pretty burned. Tyler used almost an entire can of sun screen and he still got pretty burned.

We went to a Luau that night which was so much fun!

Day 4 was AMAZING! We decided to do a helicopter tour of the island and it was probably my favorite part of the trip. We have never been in helicopter before and the views were so unbelievable!!

On the way back we stopped at a place and had the best lime pie EVER!

Then we were off to a sunset cruise!!! I loved this! We went out on a boat, sailed for a bit, and had an amazing view of the sunset while on the ocean before we headed back to land.

This was our last view of the Maui sunset.

That night we spent a few hours relaxing in the pool at our hotel.

Day 5 we went to Big and Little beach. The waves were pretty crazy at this beach and the views at Little Beach were pretty entertaining... if you know what I mean!

We had to fly back that night, so we spent a little more time at the hotel pool.
 Took pictures of the flowers

And ate my favorite meal... fish tacos. Seriously, I would never order fish tacos, but I ate them 3 times in Maui! They were SOOO good!!!

It was the best vacation celebrating 10 years with the best husband around. I can't wait to come back to Maui!!!
