July Has Been All FUN!

The middle of summer is here. We have had a great July. Here's a few highlights.

Caden finished his Corona style baseball season. He played so well, learned a lot, and had so much fun. We love watching our kids do what they love.

We spent a Saturday at the West Jordan Pool. It was great. Because of Corona they limit the number of people who can go in the pool, so it wasn't very crowed. Our kids had an absolute blast and were so brave to go off the diving board. They even went off the big diving board.

Sometimes its the moments when you're not doing anything that you love the most.
Brynnli finds her way into our bed almost every night.
I love Brynnli's imagination. She can play for hours in her room with her toys.

The girls are trying out for a dance team at their studio. They had to go to two weeks of intensives where they would have class for 2-3 hours a day. Things are different because the kids have to wear masks when as they wait to go in. Before they can enter the building they have to have their temperature taken and sanitize their hands.
This is my little buddy. I remember being worried to have a boy because I thought all boys were wild and out of control like my brother's kids. Well this kid is as sweet as they come. Caden loves to be tough, but he can also be so sweet. He loves to come up to me randomly during the day and give me a hug. Caden is the first one to notice if anything is different about me (makeup, hair, nails) and he always give compliments. He's the best little buddy around!

Makayla decided to make the switch from cheer to dance this year and although it has been challenging to do something different, I think dance is going to be the best thing for her this year. She was super nervous for try-outs, but she did great!
We celebrated the end of tryouts by going to get ice cream.
Makayla and Brynnli both made a prep team for dance this year. We are so excited to see their competitions (hopefully they can still compete during the rona.)

Brynnli loves to give kisses.

One thing I have loved about Corona is that we are doing a lot more things together as a family that we normall wouldn't do. It seems like every Saturday we are trying to find some fun thing we can do outside. We went to Donut falls one weekend.
Squirrel.
Dad and Makayla wanted to hike all the way to the top, so me and the two younger kids got to hang out at the bottom.

They made it to the top to see the donut waterfall.

Tyler said he was giving me his sexy smile. Totally worked.

Brynnli loves to play pretend. She asked me if I wanted to go shopping at her store. How can you say no. You can get so many things at her store. I only paid like one-four dollars for all my groceries.
Heather, Brooke, and Cicely were in town from Nashville, so my parents took all of us to Lagoon. Lagoon is so great during corona too. You had to make reservations and they limit the number of people that can go in per day, so we were able to go on all of the rides with zero wait times. We had a blast! Tyler took Makayla, Brooke, and Cicely on the bigger rides, so I took Caden and Brynnli on the little kid rides. Who doesn't love Bulgy?

There was hardly anyone there, especially on the little kid rides, so Brynnli was often times the only one on a ride.

We waited forever for the train.

I went on Cannibal with Makayla and Cicely three times in a row. There was no line so we would just hop off the ride and get right back on. After three times I was almost sick. I'm getting older.

My parents, Heather, Brooke, and Cicely left early, but the rest of us stayed until closing and ran on every single ride we could.

Makayla convinced me to ride the Rocket. I was a little scared. Makayla is the bravest little girl around and I didn't think she was scared of any ride, but I think Rocket my be the only ride that gave her a scare.

Someone let Brynnli play with markers again.
One of the things I have absolutely loved about this year is that our kids have played non stop with neighbor kids. All through the day they are constantly running to a neighbors house and then an hour later they are at our house to play. They have even been coordinating night games with all the neighbor kids. This summer has been a blast so far.
Even swimming lessons have gone better for all the kids. In years past Makayla has been scared to do swimming lessons, but she has made so much improvement over the last little while. She actually loves it this time! Makayla and Caden are in the same class and they love to jump off the diving board and do tricks. Brynnli was doing a great job diving for rings.

I think the 90's are back in. Who's excited for tie dye again?
Remember how Makayla is obsessed with Harry Potter? Well did you know that Harry Potter's birthday is on July 31? Makayla is so cute and planned a Harry Potter birthday party. She made brownies all by herself and decorated the basement so we could watch the last movie.

Corona has definitely changed the way we do things, but we are fining so many good things coming from it. I don't remember a summer where we spent so  much time together doing so many fun things. I love this cute family of mine and the time we get to spend together.

At the end of July there are a little over 40,000 cases of Corona in Utah and 304 people have died from the virus.

In the U.S. there are 4.6 million cases and 155,063 deaths. Worldwide there are 17.6 million cases and 679,673 deaths.
