This Thanksgiving season we have a lot to be thankful for. With all the chaos that is going on in the world, we are so thankful that we have a safe home to come to every night, food in our fridge, and healthy bodies. We have each other and we can get through whatever life throws at us. We did our thankful tree again. It starts out as an empty tree, but by the end of the month it is full of things we are grateful for.
Caden got his braces colors changed to Jazz colors.
Brynnli was so proud of her "chest hair". This stud muffin looks like he could be a model.
So could this girl. She is such a beautiful girl inside and out. Look how long her hair is getting!
These kids love spaghetti night.
I loved these nails.
So we did have a little bit of bad news this month. We got a notice from Makayla's school that she had been exposed to someone with Covid in her class. We had her wear a mask to school, but when she got home from dance on Friday she said she wasn't feeling very well. Brynnli had been sick that same week with croup, so I figured she had the same thing. On Saturday I decided to take Makayla and Brynnli in to be tested for covid and Makayla's test came back positive, but Brynnli's was negative. That meant that our kids had to be quarantined for 10 days (Tyler and I are vaccinated, so we were fine). Makayla was tired for about a day and by Sunday she was outside jumping on the tramp. All we were thinking was that we were going to have to be quarantined for 10 days and she was totally fine.
To keep us busy we did lots of different things. We made crystals
We ate lots of food... because what else is there to do when you're stuck at home?
And we made our kids to research on a lot of topics. They had to research and present where we should go on our next vacation. They made some compelling arguments.
Makayla did a research project on why we should get another dog. She did not make a compelling argument.
Somehow we made it through quarantine and luckily no one else in our family got sick with covid.
The weather has been so nice lately. We like to take Bella on walks around the block.
Tyler and Brynnli played nail salon. Tyler did a great job on Brynnli's nails. We had thanksgiving dinner for my family at our house. I only took a picture of our table and I forgot to take pictures when everyone was here. We had fun catching up and eating yummy food.
Then we went over to Tammy's house for the last part of their Thanksgiving dinner. The kids all got their matching jammies from Grandma Terry. They look so cute!
Makayla wanted to go Black Friday shopping with me. I didn't think she would actually want to go when I woke her up at 6 am, but she did. We had so much fun together going to Target, Old Navy, Petsmart and Walmart. I love having a shopping buddy to go with now!
Black Friday shopping sure has changed since Covid. In some ways I like it so much more and in some ways I miss the old way. I hated that the stores were starting to open at like 4:00 on Thanksgiving day because I think that day should be a day to spend with your family, and covid has made it so that none of the stores are open on Thanksgiving day now. But the stores open at 6:00 am on Friday and there weren't as many good deals. I am happy for some of the changes and grateful for my new shopping buddy.
We love family movie nights around here. We love to make hot chocolate, pop some popcorn, and watch a movie together.
Aww... look at our cute Bella all decked out in her Christmas bows. These lasted about 5 minutes before she shook them out.

We have so much to be thankful for and I'm so grateful we have each other to go through all the ups and downs of life.
