4th and 24th of July at Hanna Land

We went up to Hanna Land twice this month

The first time was for the 4th of July which is a favorite of ours. Bella was so excited she could come with us this time.
We stopped for dinner at Granny's. Tyler and his family used to stop here all the time when they would come up to Hanna as kids. They had huge hamburgers and yummy shakes.
We spent the weekend hanging out with cousins, playing crossnet, riding 4 wheelers, playing games, and playing in the river.

Caden caught a fish in his tube, and Brynn tried to be brave by touching it.

We ran the 5K again this year.

The kids have talked about being in the parade for years, so this year we decided to do it. We decorated the trailer and I thought it turned out so cute.

The theme of the Parade was, "Remember our heros" so we made posters to remember Grandpa Collard.

The kids sat in the back of the trailer and threw out candy

While we got to sit in the car with the air conditioning on.

Grandma and Grandpa watched from the sidelines.
The kids had so much fun being in the parade this year.

This is a first, so we had to document it, even though Makayla doesn't want us to: The grandkids did the dishes. This may be the first and last time this ever happens.
What's the 4th of July without singing and dancing to the accordion.

Then we went up to Hanna again, just the 5 of us. My dad gave us one of his old 4 wheelers, so we fixed it up and took it up to Hanna. This is just a little 4 wheeler, perfect for the little kids to ride around the pasture.
The kids got to work mowing the lawn and setting up the fire.  The kids are becoming so helpful. They figure out how to do things on their own and know the importance of working before play.

But we do know howto play. We went on a ride up the mountain.

It was just a little bit dusty... just ask Caden.
We found the tree where dad carved his name in 2001
And carved our names in a tree just across from where dad caved his name in the tree.

We went to "make out point" and told the kids about all the times we would drive up here to make out. They were grossed out.
Brynn and Caden drove us back down the mountain.

We spent some time in the river.

Check out this girl's abs.
And at dusk we went fishing with the most picture perfect sunset glistening on the water.

Dad tried to teach Makayla how to fish and had to dodge her cast.

Brynn sent her cast into the water and then fell in. We have the cutest video of her climbing out of the water crying and saying, "I hate fishing!"

We sat around the campfire that Caden built all by himself!

When we went to leave, the kids set out the bears as a surprise for the family that comes up next. Funny kids!!
