We Are Busy!

Here's a few pictures from May that didn't make it into our other posts. After looking at all these pictures I realize we are very busy people... and we just keep getting busier!

Brynnli is now 20 months. She is so incredibly busy. Her favorite thing to do is climb on anything she can. She has even learned how to climb up the rock wall on the play set. She loves to get out the pots and pans and put random things in them. Then she likes to leave the mess for me to clean up.

Brynnli loves shoes. She especially loves to put on everyone else's shoes and come to show us. She is so proud of herself! This particular day she put on Caden's hat with his shoes.

Some other fun things about Brynnli at 20 months:
She is talking more and more everyday. Some of her new words include saying "kay" (okay) after everything we ask or say to her. She also wraps her arms around herself and says "Co!" (Cold). When Tyler gets home from work she runs to the door screaming "DADDY!"  When she sees or hears someone crying she says, "Sa" (sad). She loves "Mo" (Elmo) and "JA-A!" (Jake the Pirate) and brings me the remote so I will turn on one of these shows on the tv. Her vocabulary is growing so much especially as she is starting to repeat the last word of everything we say.

Brynnli is definitely the baby of the family and thinks she can get whatever she wants... which she usually does. Brynn has the cutest and friendliest personality. Whenever we are at a store she says hi to all the people she sees and then we makes sure to wave and yell "BYE!" to everyone. But she also has a little stinker side to her. She will get so mad and give dirty looks if she doesn't get what she wants. And she can throw a major temper tantrum... she especially throws great ones in the store. But despite the few ornery times, Brynn is the best baby. She has all of us wrapped around her finger.

May was a very mild month. We had a few rainstorms and I took a pretty picture of this rainbow.
We have a new ducky friend that likes to come visit us when the kids are out. The kids like to feed him when he comes. I insist they feed him something healthy like peas or oatmeal before we give him bread.

This little guy his hilarious... especially when he poops. It is a whole ordeal. He always informs us he is going to go poo. Then he takes off his clothes. He sometimes puts his whole bum in the toilet, and he is in there for a good 5-10 minutes. Then he will scream at the top of his lungs "Mommy! I need a wipe-ee!" And trust me when I tell you, for a little guy, he has some major poopies! Oh man, I can't wait to show his future wife this.
I think Caden and Makayla are going through a growth spurt right now. They both eat like champs, sleep almost 12 hours a night, and then sometimes I find Caden like this. I love the way he hugs his blankie!
We had such a busy month with soccer games, dance recitals, and tumbling showcase. My cuties are sure proud of their medals!

One of my favorite things is when we drop Makayla off at preschool and I get to hang out with these two cuties. They are so cute with each other and love to play together. They also like to get into every thing. I was getting ready and came out to find the two of them had helped themselves to the peanut butter.
We had a great unofficial kick off to summer at Hanna Land. We played soccer, went for rides, played games, and sang songs around the campfire. Here's a few pictures from our great weekend:

I'll end this month's post on an exciting note... I got an iPhone!!! A few weeks ago I accidentally dropped my ipod in the toilet and it was ruined. Tyler and I debated about getting me a new ipod, but after pricing out things with our phone company, it was only about $10 a month more to get a data plan. So thanks to Tyler's bonus, I am now the proud owner of a new iPhone. I feel so cool now. And I sent out my very first snapchat. I'm just growing right up!
Still trying to figure out why people like snapchat, but oh well!

Happy May!

A Great Way to End Summer Soccer

Caden's original last game was rescheduled due to weather, and unfortunately we had plans to go out of town the make up day. Caden was so disappointed he was going to miss his last game because it was his turn to bring treats and he was going to get a medal. I told him we would figure something out.

We organized a soccer game with all the cousins while we were at Hanna Land. Caden was so excited to play.

After the game Caden got to count down to the team cheer and then he handed out treats to all of his cousins.

 Here's our great soccer team!
The other thing Caden was sad about was that he wouldn't get his medal. I texted his coach to see if we could come pick up the medal and his coach said he wanted to personally bring it over and put it on his neck and tell him what a great job he did this season. It was such a small thing, but it seriously meant the world to all of us.

Caden was just beaming; he was so proud.

Caden was very quick to tell me he now has TWO medals!

Coach Ty was so cute with all the kids this season, but he was especially cute with Caden. He was so encouraging with him, and always made sure he gave him a high five after every game. My favorite part this season was when Caden made his one and only goal, Coach Ty ran up to him and picked him up and gave him a big hug. His coach was just as excited and proud of Caden as we were! He knew how hard Caden tried every soccer game and how he was just a little bit timid to get right in there and steal the ball. Making a goal was such a big accomplishment for him!

What a great way to end the summer soccer season!

Queen For a Day

Makayla had her spring dance concert. Her dance this year was called "Queen for a Day," and her costume was absolutely stunning! These pictures were actually taken on picture day, because why wouldn't you take pictures before you go to get professional pictures?

Makayla did great at her dance. She remembered all of her moves and was the best one in her class... okay, okay, I am probably biased, but she really was great!

After her dance she got another medal! She was so excited, and we were so proud of her.
We love supporting our Sissy! Makayla had a great cheering section there to support her including:

We took some time to pose

Here's to many more years of dance!

Tumbling Showcase

Makayla took a tumbling class this year and she had a showcase to show off all of the tricks she learned.  I have been so impressed with Makayla's improvement this year; she gets more flexible all the time.  She loves to do tricks every where we go.
Here's a few pictures from her showcase:
 Check out that form!
And that bridge... It amazes me how flexible she is!
After she was done she got a medal.

Great job Makayla!

Field Trip to Wheeler Farm

I got to go on a special field trip with my favorite little Dude! Caden's class is learning about farm animals, so we got to go on a field trip to Wheeler Farm.

We had a great tour guide who talked to the kids about everything at the farm. The kids even got to shake milk to make cream.
They visited the Blacksmith and watched him make a chain.

Caden's cute class with Miss Lesly
We got to see a lot of animals.
And go for a wagon ride. Caden looks like he is less than thrilled here.
We saw this huge pig... seriously, she was like 400 pounds.

We got to see the ducks
 And make a crazy face
I loved spending time with Caden. He is such a great little buddy!

Mother's Day 2016

Mother's Day was great this year. Tyler surprised me with these beautiful roses when he got home from work on Friday.

I was truly spoiled on Sunday morning. Tyler let me sleep in and he and the kids made me breakfast in bed!

Please ignore my pretty "just woke up" hair.

Tyler and the kids gave me a gift card to get my nails and toes done, plus money to get my hair done. I tell ya, I am spoiled!

I feel so lucky to be a mom to Makayla, Caden, and Brynnli. I love being their mom. I love that I get to stay home with them and be there for every single "I love you, Mom!" and every single, "Momm-Y, I need a wipe-e!" And as much as I hate the constant cleaning up after them, the refusal to eat what I cook, the chauffeuring to dance and soccer, and breaking up fights,  I wouldn't change it for anything because the laughs, hugs and kisses, the pure excitement at the small things, and sweet moments when they giggle and play together make it all worth it. I love my babies!
