May Days

Here's a peek into our May Days that didn't make it into our other posts:

The kids love books, and daddy takes any open opportunity to read to them. Gosh, he's a good one!
I really like selfies. And my new sunglasses.

Brynnie is adorable when she's sleeping. Sometimes she's adorable when she's not sleeping too.
We have some gnarly wind gusts that come through So Jo. This one was so powerful it blew our swing into the patio table, knocking it over and shattering the glass. Guess it's time to get a new patio set.

Do you like it? Cuz we sure do! We've had dinner out here almost every night.

When you've got to go, you've got to go.
We went to Kids Club at the mall and then kids love to get Panda Express after. They really just wanted to eat with chopsticks.

Brynnli came up to us without clothes on and her shopping cart full of her "stuff" and told us this was her home. Yep, if she wasn't so adorable she would fit the definition of a homeless person.
Caden got to celebrate 100 days of preschool by dressing up like a 100 year old.
 Umm... who sleeps like this?
The kids run errands with me and always ask the cashier for stickers. Putting them on your face made sense to me too.

Caden's Preschool Graduation

I am in shock that Caden is already done with preschool. I remember how scared he was the very first day of preschool two years ago and how I tried so hard not to cry on the very first day this year when he looked up at me and said, "are you sure I'm going to be ok?"

Caden did more than ok this year, he blossomed more that I could have ever imagined! Caden loved preschool this year. He looked forward to going every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He learned how to read, and made some cute friends in his class. We are so proud of Caden and love watching him grow up.

His Disney themed preschool program was adorable!

You can't tell from these next pictures, but Caden was having fun. He just has such a stoic expression.

Caden was awarded the "All Around All Star" award because he is always doing what he is supposed to do. He tries his best on all of his work, and makes sure he is a friend to everyone.
Both sets of grandparents were there to see our little buddy graduate, and of course, we were there to cheer our little buddy on.

Watch out Kindergarten... he's ready for you!

Welcome to Summer!

We headed up to Hanna Land again for Memorial Day this year. We had so much fun, but I forgot to take pictures for most of the events. Here's a few pictures I did take.

Caden spent most of his time on the swings because he finally learned how to pump! We were so proud of him because we knew how long and hard he has been working to master this skill.

We had a pretty significant winter this year and the river behind The Land was as high as I have ever seen it.

See that little island of rocks? we are usually able to walk out to there and that is the spot we throw rocks from.

 We flew kites

And felt completely exhausted after our fun weekend.

Doing What they Love!

This weekend was probably the busiest weekend we have ever had. It started off Friday night with Makayla's spring dance recital. She danced to "Songbird". Makayla did so well. She knew her dance perfectly, and looked so beautiful dancing.

Makayla was in the same class as my cousin's little girl, Dylan, so we made them pose together like they were best friends. It's hard to tell because they are the same height, but they are three years apart.
Makayla has quite the cheering squad. Brynnli is excited to follow in her big sister's shoes one day and dance just like Makayla.

Love this girl and so proud of her!
Then on Saturday it was time for the spotlight to shine on this handsome boy as he played in his soccer game. Caden did awesome in this game and scored quite a few goals. He is also getting so good at defense and boxing people out.
Caden's coach couldn't be there, so daddy got to step in and be his coach. How many coaches does it take to coach 8 kids?

Right after soccer we  headed to Makayla's tumbling showcase. She did so well at this performance and amazed us with all her tricks!

Makayla's friend Kaylen, who she got to take lessons with for the last three years.
 Showing off more tricks!

We love watching our kiddos do what they love!

Girls Weekend

Emily and I have been friends since college, and during our stint in Logan, she introduced me to the comedian Brian Regan. We heard he was doing some shows in St. George, so we decided it was about time for a girls weekend and headed down.

St. George was HOT! But so much fun! We relaxed by the pool, went shopping, ate delicious food, and went to Target (seriously... we went there three times in three days).
Saturday was the show at the Tuacahn Amphitheater. Brian Regan was hilarious as always and we laughed so hard our stomachs hurt.

It was not the best weekend for me to be gone. Caden had a soccer game and Makayla had dance pictures which Tyler had to do her hair and makeup for, but luckily, Tyler is amazing. Makayla looked gorgeous for her pictures, Caden made it to his soccer game, and the house was still standing when I got home.

Maybe I should go on more girls weekends?
