Cader-Tot

It seems like it has been awhile since I have updated on Caden's new milestones. Since so much of this month's posts have been dedicated to Makayla's birthday, I thought it would only be fitting to do a post just about our sweet Cader-tot!

Caden is almost 22 months now and is turning into a little boy more and more everyday. He's just a little guy and is still wearing 12-18 month clothes, but he is so full of energy. He can keep up with Makayla and do a lot of the things she does.  I think the funnest part about Caden is that his vocabulary is growing so much everyday! He repeats the last word of whatever we say. He can put two words together and fully communicate what he is thinking. Most of his words are about Tyler. When Caden hears the garage door open he runs to the door and says, "da-da home!" Some of his other cute sayings include: "Da-da cup" and "grammas houze". One day he told me, "I get kiss". Speaking of kisses, Caden is the most lovable and cuddly little boy. He loves to be rocked and carried around the house. Caden gives the best kisses on the lips and the best hugs with arms.  He is still a very picky eater, but loves yogurt. Even if Caden is not going to eat the food that is on his plate, no one else can touch it. If you even try to move it, he freaks out and you have to pretend to put it back to get him to stop crying.

Caden is developing a few interesting habits in his little age. One of them is that he has to have his blankets with him all the time. And it's not just one blanket, it's multiple blankets. If you try to put them in his room, he falls on the floor crying. When he gets into bed he has to have his blankets positioned just right, with his bear and his puppy, Gus, right next to him. This particular night, he also needed Makayla's babies sleeping with him.

As I have mentioned before, Caden LOVES books. As soon as he gets home from daycare he runs to his room to get books. He will bring them to the family room and set them on the couch. Then he has to get his blankies situated perfectly, and he will sit there for 20 minutes plus just "reading" his books.

Great Grandpa and Grandma Evans came over one night for dinner and Grandpa brought Horton Hears a Who. Caden loved it and sat there almost the whole time while he read it. Then Caden went into his room and got more books for Grandpa to read to him.

As I have mentioned, Caden is a picky eater, but he does love cereal. I had to snap these pictures the other day of him eating. He is a pro at using utensils but my favorite part is when he gets the spoon in his mouth he uses the other hand to make sure it all gets in there.

I really can't believe how fast our little man is growing up. It makes me so sad, but so excited all at the same time. We just love our cute little Cader-Tot!
