Caden can't say his "L's" and it sounds like a "w"... so according to Caden, this is our post about "Wa-goon" AKA "Lagoon".
So I'm probably crazy, but we got a call from Tammy who said she got some extra tickets to Lagoon for really cheap. Tyler was flying home from Alaska that day and I thought to myself, "Hey, why don't I take the kids to Lagoon by myself while 8 months pregnant?" Tyler thought I was crazy too and tried to talk me out of it. I didn't listen to him, and decided to be brave. Besides, Tracy and Jeremy were going, and it's not like they had three kids of their own to take care of as well.
I figured I would just stay at Lagoon until the kids were too much to handle. That was about 5 minutes into walking through the gates of Lagoon because Caden had a major meltdown that included kicking me and screaming through the entire park. I can't blame him... it is pretty traumatic when your juice gets put into a sippy cup instead of keeping it in the Gatorade bottle.
Our tickets included a free lunch, so we went to eat first and met up with Tammy, Bruce, Karly, Rico, Kenzee, and Ryan. We decided to start off our day of fun with rides that all of us could go on. We went on the Carousel first.
Then it was off to ride the train.
Geez... I'm huge. Only 6 weeks to go in this picture.
After the rides together as a family, we all went our separate ways. Tracy and Jeremy took their kids to a show, so I thought I would take my kids on all the kiddie rides. This year was Caden's first time riding the rides, and he LOVED it! It was a little scared at first, but had so much fun. He kept telling me after this ride that he got to, "shoot da shoot gun!"
We hit all the major kid rides...
They both loved the boats, but Makayla was being her typical bossy big sister self, and wouldn't let Caden ring the bell.
We met back up with Tracy and Jeremy and the kids went on a few rides together.
Makayla didn't like the bumper cars because she got stuck in the corner and couldn't figure out how to move.
Carson was nice enough to let Caden ride with him on the bumper cars.
Since I am about ready to pop, I couldn't go on any rides, but luckily Aunt Tracy was willing to take Makayla on all the big, little kid rides. They went on the Tidal Wave
And the Lady Bug drop. This was Makayla's favorite ride. She kept telling us all about it. Luckily this was the part where Caden fell asleep in the stroller and took a good hour and a half nap. I think this gave him the energy boost to last the rest of the night.
Tracy and Jeremy took the kids to another show, and the kids wanted to go on more rides, so I took them on the last few that we hadn't been on yet. We had to ride on Bulgy the Whale... You can't go to Lagoon without going on this ride!
This was Caden's first ride by himself. He wanted to ride the bird and Makayla wanted to ride the lady bug. I was nervous for him, but he did so great and had so much fun.
I kept thinking the kids should be tired, but they were going strong, so we went on a few more rides.
Tyler text me at about 9:00 to say their plane had landed, so we finally left Lagoon then. I thought the kids would crash on the way home, but they were jabbering the whole time about their favorite rides at Lagoon. They talked the ENTIRE way to my mom's to pick up Daddy. Then while we were at my mom's house they were running around the living room, laughing. I didn't think they would last as long as they did, but our kids continue to surprise me everyday. We can't wait to go back to Lagoon! Luckily we don't have to wait that long... we're going again this Sunday, but this time with Daddy!
