Spring Break 2019

We had the funnest and busiest Spring Break this year.

We started out by going to see Caden sing a few songs at his school.

Then they have a candy scramble where Caden got a lot of candy. He was so sweet because he ran over a piece of candy to Brynnli so she wouldn't feel left out. I tell you, he is always looking out for others.

We had an early Easter party at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Bob's house. That way everyone could be there. Family events with my family are always interesting and kind of awkward now, but we had a lot of fun.
The kids love the Easter egg hunt. My mom hides so many eggs around the yard. It just goes to show you that kids do know how to clean up things when they really want to.

Caden was so lucky this year and found the Golden Egg. He got $10. I think that smile says it all.

Caden got to attend a Lego camp this year where he learned how to build elevators, traps, and roads out of Legos. He loved it and wants to go back again in the summer.

His friend from church was there too, so they worked together on a lot of the projects.

We went with our cousins to a movie one day and then to Ninja Warriors another day. Brynn looks like she might be working on a more risque event.

Then we headed up to Hanna Land for the rest of spring break. We had so much fun just the 5 of us.

We did lots of puzzles and played outside.
 We colored Easter eggs.

Brynn was mad at me for some reason and wouldn't look at me.

 I think she was tired.
We went on lots of 4 wheeler rides, but we couldn't go very far because there is still a ton of snow.

I never thought we would be one of those people who do puzzles for fun on a Friday night, yet here we are.
Looks like Chocolate and Marshmallow wanted in on the puzzle fun too.
I think it's safe to say that Spring break wore us all out this year

Can't wait to do it again next year.

The Biggest U of U Fans

The University of Utah Softball program wanted to acknowledge Bill and Bonnie at one of their games as the biggest fans. They were invited to throw out the first pitch at the game and we got to go and celebrate with them.

Bill started the first Bonnet Ball softball league in Utah. Both Bill and Bonnie have supported U of U softball when Jo played there, when she became the coach at the U, and even to this day.

We finally got to see the Jo Evans Locker Room.

Bill was a little nervous to throw out the first pitch, but he did great!

Bill and Bonnie even have their chairs with their names on them for being the biggest fans.

Caden found the popcorn and the kids had a blast doing everything but watch the game.

Makayla was asked to announce the players as they came out to bat during one of the innings.
I think she might have a career in announcing.
Here's the biggest fans with the 2019 U of U Softball team.

Caden turns 7

Caden turns 7 years old today! Oh if you only knew how much I love Caden and how proud I am of the sweet, strong, and fun loving boy he is turning out to be.

Caden woke up bright and early on his birthday and immediately ran to see is presents. He told me he could already guess what one of his presents was... I guess Tyler's wrapping job of his new baseball bat was pretty obvious. Caden got to open his new outfit for school that day, but he had to wait until later that night to open the rest of his presents.

Caden requested cinnamon rolls for his birthday breakfast.
He had a great day at school where his was the VIP student. He got to wear his birthday crown all day.
When Daddy got home from work Caden finally got to open his presents.
My favorite was his present from Brynn. She got one of her purses and put random toys from the playroom in it for his gift. He was so great as he opened each one.

And it just melted our hearts when he gave Brynn a big hug and told her thanks.
Caden got a some toys from us, a new baseball bat and backpack, but his favorite gift of all was.. can you guess? More Legos. He got a police station to add onto his Police set from Christmas.

After presents Caden chose to go to Red Robin...Yum for dinner. He got his very own ice cream.

If you know anything about Caden, you know that he loves cake. He especially loves the frosting. We sang Happy Birthday one more time and he blew out the candle and devoured is giant cupcake.

Oh Caden, I wish you knew how much Mom and Dad love you. It's been a challenging year, but you have shown us what true love is. You are so smart and are doing so well in school. We can see how hard you are trying and can't believe how much you have learned this year. You are so kind and are always looking out for others. I love how you know exactly how much money you have and always tell me that you want to spend your money on presents for other people. You are passionate and creative and inquisitive. You are really loving baseball this year and we love watching you play! I love when you wrap your arms around me and tell me that you love me. You always notice when I am wearing lipstick and always tell me that you think I look pretty. I know you will do great things in the future and you will always make mom and dad proud by just being you. We love you so much Caden!
