February 2020

Started off February celebrating Tyler and Jeremy's birthday month with the Super Bowl/Birthday party.

Brynnli's hair is getting long enough that I can do fun things with it now.
I got my hair done this month and asked Tyler if he would take some pictures of it. When he handed me my phone back, these were the pictures I got...

He's just so funny. But look how cute my hair is!

 Running errands with my bestie!
These two came home from school one day and started reading.
Brynnli never takes naps, but I was loving this snuggle time with her.
Cam and Tyler with their cool faces.
 Peace.OUT.
Brynnli always asks me to draw her a dog at church. One day she attempted it on her own, and it turned out so cute! Also, notice how she is writing her first and last name now.
Ok this is so stupid, but one day I saw on Facebook all of my friends posting something about how NASA said that a broom would stand on its own that day only because of the tilt of the Earth's axis. I told Tyler about it and he laughed hysterically as I showed him, that yes indeed, our broom was standing by its self. Tyler laughed even harder when we face timed his parents and their broom did the same thing.
Turns out you can't believe everything you read on Facebook. It has nothing to do with the tilt of the Earth's axis and everything to do with the flat shape of the broom's bristles and this trick can be done any day of the year. Well, some of us are not scientists and did not know this. And some of us are glad we can make our husband laugh uncontrollably.

Crazy hair day at school.

 Look at that form!
I went to Costco to spend our rebate money. I got all of this for $1. Yes, I am an amazing shopper.
Valentine's Day at school was also pajama day.
Tyler hurt is back because... well, he's getting old. So he stayed home while I took all three kids by myself to the most crowded gymnastics event of the year... the princess and hero night. It was fun and I didn't lose any of the kids.
They got to meet a lot of princesses. Remember how a few years ago I took the kids to this and Brynnli hid behind Makayla in every single picture? She was much braver this year.

"Flash"ing the U... get it? I'm so clever.
 Brynnli really enjoyed the meet.
 Not...

After the meet Daddy was feeling better to go to dinner for his birthday.
Sunday was his actual birthday and Terry and Craig offered to take the kids overnight so we could go out. You don't have to ask us twice!
We had brunch at a cute little cafe, went to a movie, did some shopping, relaxed in the hot tub, and then stayed the night downtown.
We went to a fancy dinner at Flemmings and had steak and lobster. Yum!
Aww, I love my old man! 37 is looking pretty good on you babe!

Some of us are easily entertained....
Face painting and balloons at the Utah Women's Bball game for the win!

Makayla and Colton went down on the sidelines to greet the players as they came out.
Brynnli made it on the jumbo screen, realized she was on the screen, then threw a gigantic temper tantrum because she was on the screen and embarassed.
Siblings that match together, stay together?
 Cutest cousins with Swoop

Lunch with this cutie. She is so spoiled, but we love her. I know my days like this are running out, so I will take every one I can get with her.

Nailed it!

I did Brynnli's hair like this one day and she flipped the braids around and told me, "Look, I'm a unicorn!"

Speaking of Brynnli, the other day she told me, "Mom, I finally learned a joke that's not about poo"

I've never been more proud.

2...4...6..8.... Makayla is so Great!

Makayla decided she wanted to try competitive cheer this year, and while it's been quite the jump (get it?) we have been so proud Makayla for trying something new that has really challenged her and scared her. Makayla is on team Tsunami. She practices 5 hours a week (3 hours on Monday nights and 2 hours on Wednesday night). She has mastered her round off back handspring and we are so proud of her! Makayla is nervous for her competitions, but excited to wear grown up make up and fake eyelashes!

We got to go to her showcase.

Her team did such a great job on their pom routine.
Check out that toe touch!

Makayla is the base for this stunt.

And for this stunt she's the flier. Makayla is amazing!

Final pyramid.
We can't wait for her competitions next month. We even get to go to St. George for one of her competitions.

It's a Love Story...

Valentine's 2020 was a hit!

Our kids got to take treats to all their friends at school and Makayla and Caden got to wear pajamas to school.
That night we had our traditional fancy dinner. We had salmon, rice pilaf, asparagus, and rolls. I told the kids to bring their best table manners and one thing they loved about each person in our family. Needless to say, I was bawling by the end of our dinner. It's little moments like this that I love the most.
At one point during dinner Caden said, "Ok, I just LOVE this family!"

After dinner we opened presents.
The kids had a surprise for me... a new cell phone cover! The kids came up with this design all by themselves and made it for me. Isn't it so cute?

Tyler and I gave the kids each a book and a family game.
I got a Valentine's coupon book from Tyler and I can't wait to use them.
We had dessert, played games, and watched a movie to end our fun night.

Happy Valentines day to my loves!
