The Little Mermaid at Tuachan

Our annual tradition to go to a play at Tuchan is here. This year we got to see "The Little Mermaid"

The drive down was great because our kids listened to their own music and didn't fight too much.

We stopped for dinner at Pizza Factory.
Then got some donuts at Pinkbox. Caden really enjoyed his poop donut.

We had some extra time time before our play, so we walked around the St. George temple. Brynnli found some flower pedals that looked like fake nails.

Then we were off to Tuachan.

The play was so cute. I loved how creative they were to use hoverboards to make it look like the mermaids were swimming. We lucked out too, because we were there on Pioneer day and we got a free fireworks show.
The rest of the trip we were in Mesquite. We played in the pool all day and got yummy drinks poolside.

Caden again impressed us with his eating skills. This kid can eat!

Late night McDonalds run.

How many drinks do I need? Well apparently 3
Ok, make that four.

We saw F1 in the movie theatre.
And then enjoyed some late night swimming.

I promise we do more than just eat on this trip, but we also enjoyed our usual ice cream.
And Makayla needed her Starbucks refresher.
I love this new tradition we have and hopefully we can go again next year.

Stars, Stripes, and Summer Nights

Since Tyler and I went to the wedding, our kids went up to the cabin for 4th of July weekend. We love the 4th of July at Hannah. Tyler and I could only come up for a day, but we made the most of it. We got up to Hanna just in time for the parade. It was a hot day!

If you're wondering what it takes to get the kids to look so happy in the pictures: Tracy can always get a smile out of the kids.

We love all the parade floats and the candy.

After the parade we went back to the cabin. The kids are practicing for Hang Time at Lagoon.

We played games, took some naps, and had a fun bar-b-q.
Tyler has been trying to get us to go to the rodeo for years, and this year we finally made it happen. The rodeo was so much fun! We even got to see fireworks at the end.

 Happy 4th of July!!

Weirdest 4th of July Ever!

So it's kind of a long story, but Darren impulsively decided to get married. Darren met Jamie back in March? By early June he told us he moved in with her, and then just a few days later he texted me to say he was getting married to her on July 4th. I was shocked, but wanted to be supportive, so I invited myself to their backyard wedding. It was a small event with just my parents, Jamie's parents, Jamie's brother and us. It was a quick event... started at 5:00 and was over by 7:00. But alas, he is married and hopefully happy. Oh, also Darren thinks he has stomach cancer. He also doesn't have a job, so that's a great way to start a marriage.

I disagree with a lot of Darren's life choices, but I truly hope he finds peace and happiness.

My mom was weird. She kept hugging Darren like this until my dad had to pry her off of him.

The poor Bishop... This was his first time officiating a wedding. Bet he won't forget it.

Tyler and I were a little frazzled after the event, so we went and got ice cream and watched fireworks at Sandy Park. Weirdest 4th of July ever.
