A Tinkerbell Party

Makayla is 6 years old! How did my baby girl get so big? Makayla had the best birthday this year. We had so much fun celebrating our little girl for weeks. Here's a few highlights:

We went to dinner with the Evans family after one of the basketball games. Makayla picked Red Robin and the waitress even gave Makayla Shopkins puzzles.
Makayla got to be the Very Important Kindergartner at school on her birthday week. We made a poster for her to show her class, and on Friday Tyler and I got to go into her classroom while she explained her poster. We even got to read to her class Makayla's favorite book.

On the Friday before her birthday, Makayla got to pick where we went to dinner that night, and she chose Red Robin again. They gave her her own ice cream, but Tyler and I ate most of it.
On Makayla's actual birthday she got spoiled with a lot of gifts from Mom and Dad
 She got birthday Legos
 New roller skates
A game, a coat, new shoes and a Precious Moment Tinkerbell figurine.
Later that afternoon Makayla's friends came over for her very first friend birthday party.
We thought for sure she was going to have a Shopkins party, then it turned into a Moana party, but when we went to the party store she threw us a curve ball and decided she wanted a Tinkerbell party. It turned out so cute!

All of the little girls got to make their own fairy wings

Makayla had 6 cute little friends over: Haylie, Samantha, Kaylen, Kyra, Katie, and Shara. Caden didn't want to be left out, so he joined the Tinkerbell party too.

After they decorated their wings, all of the kids went on a Pixie Hollow Hunt around our house. They would get a clue and then have to find the secret spot where they found a surprise.
After the hunt Makayla opened presents

 And had cupcakes.

Her friend party was seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen. All of the little girls were so cute and easily entertained. It may have been my favorite part of the day.

After Makayla's friend party, her family came over for a party. We decorated the basement as such:

After Makayla's requested tacos for dinner, we opened even more presents. Makayla sure is spoiled.

She got a lot of clothes, Moana Legos, Shopkins pillow, and lots of arts and craft supplies.

Then Makayla blew out the candles on her Tinkerbell cake

It was such a fun day celebrating our Sweet Six Year old!

Makayla,

I remember so vividly how excited I was when I found out you were a girl. I knew I would have a best friend for life, and over the last few years, you have really become not only my little girl, but my best little friend. I love what a sweet and caring girl you are turning into. You are such a good example to your brother and sister, and you have such a great desire to do what is right. I love how you are excelling in dance and tumbling, and how you love to perform.  I love even more how you are doing exceptionally well in school and always try your best. I also love the different pictures you draw for us everyday and how your imagination grows. You are funny, smart, bossy, sweet, and sassy all bundled into one perfect little girl. We love you so much and are so lucky we get to be your parents. We love you cutie! Happy 6th Birthday!

When Can I See You Again?

Makayla performed in her dance concert on January 21st. She is in a Ballet/Jazz class at Synergy Dance Academy again this year, and is doing so well. Her dance for this concert was a Jazz routine to the song, "When Can I See You Again?" Her costume was so cute!

Makayla did great at her dance she knew all the steps and did her best!

Makayla is in the same class as my cousin Amanda's little girl, Dylan, so we made them pose together like they are best friends.
We seriously have the best family. We had an entire row and a half there to cheer on our little dancer!

We love you Makayla and are so proud that you are excelling at something you love. We can't wait for many more years of dance!

Miss Sassy

How can you cram so much personality into such a little body?

If she's like this at two, I can only imagine her as a threenager!

Brynn and Daddy hanging out...
Brynnli got this new Minnnie outfit and refused to wear pants with it.
We love hanging out at the basketball games and making silly faces.

Sometimes Mom and Dad forget to change her diapers, so Brynn walks around the house with soggy diaper bottom.

One of my favorite things is when I drop off the kids at school and I turn to Brynnli and ask her what she wants to do that day. She usually tells me, "Go to sore and get popcorn and drink?" You got it Brynn!
