A Look through June

The first official month of Summer is here! We started off the month right by making our Summer Bucket List. We have a lot of fun things to do in the next few months.

Our first check mark? Slurpees.

This is the not so fun thing we are doing this month... potty training Brynnli. We have kinda, sorta been trying since last October, but we were never serious about it. We decided now might be a good time because we are almost out of diapers and I don't want to buy anymore. Every time Brynn goes on the potty she gets to put a sticker on her chart and once it is filled up, she gets to go to the store to get a toy. If you were wondering how the first few days went, this is it. Ya, we didn't get off to a great start.
Karly had a surprise birthday party for Tammy. It's always fun when all the cousins get to get together.
And we learned Makayla likes salad.

Caden had his very last day of preschool. It was a carnival day and he got to dress up like a pirate. We are so sad Caden is done with preschool, but we are so excited for all of his new school adventures.
Guess what me and Tyler got? A new bedroom set!!!! We saw this bedroom set a few months ago, and we kept going back to look at it and finally decided to get it. We absolutely love it!

This never happens. Caden must have been really tired, or he was sick. He snuggled right up to me and took a nap. I will take Caden snuggles anytime I can get them.
Brynnli just naps whenever, where ever.

Check out this black eye. Honestly I have no idea how she got it.
Father's Day party at Terry's. The kids got their matching outfits for the upcoming 4th of July

Speaking of Father's day... Happy Father's day to this handsome guy. I really won the lottery when I married Tyler. He is so great in every way.
His Father's day gift wasn't that exciting this year. He just got money to buy some needed tools for the yard.
We didn't have any great ideas for my dad either, so we had to settle for "Bob's Butt Wipes". It's a real product.
Another party at Terry and Craig's This time the kids got dressed up in their matching Texas A & M attire.
 Happy Birthday to Grandma Bonnie.
Our kids are so lucky to know their great grandparents.

We have been going to play group with our neighbors. This day we ended up at a small lake in Daybreak.

I had a cold, so nose plugs it is.
Sometimes these two are best friends. I like to document those moments more than them fighting.
One of my favorite things to do is compare our girls at the same ages and wearing the same outfits. Here's Makayla at 2 1/2 years old...
And here's Brynnie at the same age...

 We visited Daddy at work
Makayla got to practice eating lunch in the cafeteria for next year when she will be in 1st grade.

Hey, remember that potty chart that was empty at the beginning of the month? Guess who figured out the potty!!! Guys, I have been changing diapers for 6 1/2 years straight now, but no more!

We are so proud of Brynnli! She is hopefully all potty trained and got to pick out her toy. She picked out a set of Doc McStuffins toys.
Yea for being a diaper free family!!!

Actual conversation between me and Tyler. Me: "That's clean water the kids are playing in right?" Tyler: "Ya, it's the same water you drink." Me: "So technically the kids had a bath tonight, right?"
Sprinklers: the only way to bathe your kids in the summer.

Guess I'll just sneak some selfies into this month's post.

We are so proud of Makayla. She got the Falcon Leader Award and the Perfect attendance award at the end of the year assembly at school. We love this little girl so much and her desire to always do her best.

Me and my cuties all wore flip-flops on the same day when we were out running errands. So we snapped a picture.
Tammy got us really cheap last minute tickets to see REO Speedwagon and Styx concert, so we found a baby sitter and headed up to USANA.

You know what they say, the family that goes to concerts together, "STYX" together!
Get it?

Soccer Players Have Goals

Caden finished spring soccer. He did exceptionally well and was the best player on his team. He gained so much confidence this season and really learned all about offence. Arguably his favorite part of soccer was the treats at the end of each game.

Caden with his cute team
Caden has the best grandparents. Both sets of grandparents were at almost every single game (I didn't get a picture of Terry and Craig because they couldn't make it to this game, but they were at almost every other game).

My mom and dad say coming to Caden's games are the highlight of their week.

We only had one free Saturday before we started soccer season again. This time Makayla wanted to play soccer like Caden, and we were so happy they could be on the same team. This will either be the best or the worst decision to put them on the same team... because they play so well together anyway...

Guess who their coach is? Tyler! The kids were so excited to have Daddy as their coach. I think he will be the best coach.

The first game was great! Makayla and Caden both scored a few goals and they had so much fun.
