Baseball and Dance!

Our lives consist of baseball and dance... and we love it!

Check out this amazing sunset at one of Caden's baseball games.
Caden is playing baseball and he loves it! We are so impressed with him and how well he is doing.

And it's always super fun when Tracy and Carson come to one of Caden's games.
The girls had their Spring dance concert and they both did such a good job. Brynnli danced to "A Pirate's life for Me"

 Both of our beautiful dancers!
We have such an amazing family that is so supportive to come to all our kids' events.

Some times I have to take a second and stare in disbelief at how lucky we are to have such great kids. We are so proud of all of them and their desire to pursue their talents.

Mother's Day

I remember growing up and knowing all I wanted to be was a mom. Sure I wanted to be a nurse or a teacher, but it was always a mom first. I am so lucky that these three call me mom.

I'll be honest, being a mom is hard... like really hard. Especially lately. I find myself beating myself up. I wonder if I'm failing as a mom. I wonder if I'm doing the right things, am I teaching them right from wrong? Do I let them know how much I love them? Did I tell them enough how proud I am of them? Why did I lose my patience like that?

I hope my kids know that I am not perfect, but I try my hardest. I pray for them every day. I worry about everything they do. And I love them more than they will ever know. Thanks to these three who have looked beyond my flaws, forgiven me for my bad days, and made me love more deeply than I ever imagined. Thanks for making me a mom.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

We had so many fun things happen in April, but here's a few pictures that didn't make it into our other posts:

April Fools Day was hilarious this year. Makayla put a sign in Tyler's car that said, "Honk and wave." Tyler said he couldn't figure out why all these random people were honking at his on his way to work.  Tyler played a lot of tricks on the kids. He put salt on their toothbrushes. Some of the kids thought it was funnier than others.

He also messed with their backpacks and jackets so they couldn't put them on the right way. Looks like we all better be on guard for next year.

How cute is this cutie? I love spending my days with her. She wakes up in the morning and starts talking and doesn't stop talking until she goes to bed. I love how she insists on bringing toys in her purse whenever we run errands.
And somehow she manages to convince me that we NEED to go out to lunch because she doesn't like any of the food we have at home.
 Brynn really is "Ear-resistable"
And she never fails to crack us up with her interesting outfit changes. She changes her outfit at least 5 times a day.

Brynnli likes to pretend she's a dog, but she really gets into character. She would only eat her lunch off the floor and would only drink out of the bowl.

How cute are her preschool pictures?
Oh, this girl truly is the life of the party and we are all just living in it.

Caden is loving baseball this year and we absolutely love watching him.

Now if we could just get the weather to cooperate so he can actually play the games!

Makayla is seriously the best big sister. She reads to Brynnli at night sometimes. I love the special bond these two have.

Makayla is really growing up lately. She sometimes gets into mischief and is definitely learning to push our buttons and be a little defiant, but she is also the most reliable and the most responsible 8 year old out there.
 Selfie Sunday...

Hey, remember how we have been wanting a shed for a few years now and remember how last fall we finally poured the cement for our shed?
Well, it's finally done and we absolutely love it! Now our garage is clean and organized and we will have a place to store all of our patio furniture so we can actually have room in our garage.

Now it's on to the next project!

Tyler's team did so well in the trap shoot this year and they ended up with a 4 way tie for 2nd place.

We love the three weeks at the trap shoot!

Tyler has really become a great photographer since getting his iPhone 10 with portrait mode. I tease him, but he really does take good pictures of my favorite tree.

Remember our neighborhood duck that comes back every year? It turns out she is laying eggs in our backyard, right by our patio!

We noticed she kept going just under our patio door. She would come back about the same time every day. We noticed she was laying eggs and then burying them. We did some research and found out that ducks lay one egg per day until they have about 10, then they begin the nesting period where they sit continuously on the eggs until they hatch. Looks like in a couple of weeks we will have some cute baby ducks in our backyard!
Kind of fun, but this is as close as our kids will ever get to having a pet.
