October nights are getting longer and before you know it it will be dark at 5:00, which I am dreading!! Here's a look into our spooky October days and nights:
Bella loves her heated pad and how cute is she snuggling with her toy. This may have been staged, but it is so cute!!
With the upcoming election and the chaos that may ensue, we needed to get stocked up on our food storage. I spent like $600 getting us all stocked up, but the peace of mind is worth it. Here's the before and after. Just Makayla went to epic this year since Brynn's team will be doing a different convention. Cutest group of girls!!
We have Jazz tickets again this year. Caden and Tyler went to the preseason game. Hopefully the Jazz will win a lot of games this season.
While the boys were at the game, Makayla was with her friends, and me and Brynn played with her new birthday toys.
We love going to the Farmer's market on Saturdays and the kids love to do the craft. Slime and felt succulents for the win!!
One of our last times at Lagoon for the season. The kids spent their game money and got some cute stuffed animals.
Somehow she convinced me she "needed" a drink from Starbucks after drill prep class. Some times we cook fancy dinners and this steak was so yummy!
We got some shocking news about Brynnli. I took her into the orthodontist to see if she was ready for braces and we found out she is missing 2 permanent teeth, the two right next to her front teeth. I was so shocked and a total mess by the end of the appointment. The cute office staff even told me I could stay in the room if I needed to cry, and I said, "No, I'll do that in the car!" The options they told us is that she could get implants, but that couldn't happen until she is in her 20's, so until then she would have to wear a retainer with fake teeth (I did not love this option). Or we could try a K9 substitution where they would take her permanent k9 teeth and move them next to her front teeth, and shape them so they look like the teeth that are supposed to go there. I liked this option better right off the bat because I think real teeth are better than fake teeth. Either way, we will have to wait until all of her permanent teeth come in and we can see what the K9s look like and that will ultimately decide. In the mean time we started her on phase 1 braces to make as much room as possible and potentially save some baby teeth, that will temporary hold the place of the missing permanent teeth. Regardless of what will happen, I know this girl will rock whatever look life gives her. Of all of our kids, Brynn has the personality to rock anything life throws at her. Brynn really amazed me through his whole process and I am so proud of her for handling this challenge so well.
This is her before picture before she went in for braces.
The assistant who was helping us was so nice and we found out she also had a K9 substitution done by the same ortho. Her teeth looked amazing and I felt so much better about our decision. I may have cried in that appointment and Brynn said it was really embarrassing.
And there she is with her cute braces!!! Brynn also had to get an expander, so she has to learn how to say some words differently and she slurps, but other that she is handling her new braces so well.
Jamba Juice after is a must.
The next day we went to the 4th grade wax museum where we met the cutest Helen Keller. Brynn researched information about Helen all by herself and told us lots of interesting information like, "Helen Keller learned how to speak German, Latin, and French" and "Her teacher Ann Sullivan was also blind."
Caden even stopped by after school so he could hear her presentation. I love how these two support each other.
Then later that night we went to Caden's first choir concert! Caden did a great job and our favorite song was "Corn stalk fiddle"
Brynn cheered loudly for her favorite brother.
Dress up day at dance. Even though Brynn has been a cat every year at dance since she was 3, she still wanted to dress up the same.
Makayla made some cookie dough and hid it because she knew it would disappear within seconds. Well Tyler found it and texted her this:
Look at how great our kids' school pictures turned out. Gosh, I love these kids!!
