Top Of The Mornin' To Ya!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Lucky the Leprechaun stopped by again this year to help us celebrate.

He left us a note that said:
Lucky, Lucky, Lucky me.
Today's St. Patty's and I like green.
Look around to see green treats.
I'm glad my pee didn't get on the seats.
Have fun at your party during preschool.
I got you a shirt so you'll look cool.
Hope you don't get pinched on this nice March day.
"Top of the Mornin' to ya" like I always say.

As soon as the kids got up they ran around the house to see what tricks Lucky played on us.
He peed in the kids' toilet and forgot to flush... again.
Everyone was excited for their green drinks and treats.
Lucky turned our milk green again. The kids thought it was hilarious.
 I mustache you a question...
Not yet ladies... this handsome, lucky dude is only 3.
All of my cuties wore their green outfits for the day.
Caden had preschool and got to make his own leprechaun hat. Plus they had a magician show at preschool.
What a fun day!

Frozen on Ice

Last year I got our family tickets to Frozen on Ice... that's right I bought our tickets A YEAR ago. But guess what? We had the best seats... 4th row baby!! Makayla dressed up as Anna and Caden wore his Olaf shirt. We were all so excited for the show to start.
Especially this little girl. She had no idea what was going on, but she was cheezing it up!
The show was fantastic and so magical!

Our favorite part was when Elsa sang "Let it Go"

Intermission we took the opportunity to take a lot of pictures

And eat our second bucket of popcorn (Caden spilled our first bucket as soon as we sat down).
The second half was just as magical as the first. Olaf was so great.

This little girl loved every minute of it. Well who am I kidding, we all loved it!

Wacky Wednesday and Thilly Thursday

It was Dr. Seuss week at preschool for Makayla and Caden, and they got to dress all wacky and silly for it.

I did Makayla's hair all wacky and put lots of different colored bows.
She wore her clothes backwards and had on two different shoes.
Caden got to dress up for Thilly Thursday. He wore his clothes backwards, different shoes, and his new mining light.

They loved dressing all crazy. Love these two little preschoolers of ours!

Leap Year

Looks like we don't have that many pictures for our month end blog on this once-every-four-years leap year. February was great for us, just hanging out as a family. Here's the few pictures that didn't make it into our other posts:

Oh our little Cader Mater! He loves socks. Weird, right? We've found him wearing, no joke, seven pairs of socks at one time. Caden loves socks so much he even insists on wearing them to bed. This particular night he had a pair on the inside and outside of his jammies.

We went to the gymnastics meet one night. We had some time to kill before we could go in, so we chilled in the car and took these two cute pictures. Gosh I love this family of mine!

We also took turns posing like gymnasts.

I've been thinking it has been a while since I updated about Brynn. She is now 17 months and starting to talk. Some of her new words are: Bi Bi (Binkie) and Ma! Ma! Ma! Ma! (supposed to be Mom, but it's who ever she wants to get their attention). "Sho" (shoe).  One of our favorite things about Brynnli is when it is time to go to bed we tell her to go give Makayla and Caden a kiss goodnight. She understands us and runs to them, gives them a hug and kiss, waves, and says, "Nigh, nigh!" Brynnli still has to have her blankie and binkie to fall asleep. She also loves to read books before bed. Her favorite book is the "Elmo Look and Find." She likes to point to the puppy and kitty. Her other favorite part is when she sees Count she goes, "One, Ah Ah!" When she wakes up she just jabbers in her crib until we get her. One day I heard her up but it was early so I thought she would fall back asleep. Apparently I was taking too long because next thing I heard was a big THUD! Brynnli got sick of waiting for me and crawled out of her crib, albeit not gracefully.  Brynnli loves bath time and tries to jump in the tub every time one of us is in there. And lastly, Brynnli is not the best eater, but she loves meat. Some days it is all she will eat. I guess she won't starve, but it sure makes me feel like a bad mom for not getting her to eat a well balanced meal.

33

Tyler turned 33 this year. He just gets better with age!

I think one of the hardest things for me to get used to when I married Tyler is that he's not too big on birthdays. The first year we were married I was completely baffled that Tyler was not taking the day off work to celebrate his birthday. I was equally shocked that Tyler did not take off work for my birthday to spoil me. Now six years later we have compromised on the "birthday issue." Tyler enjoys all the extra attention and spoiling I give him on his day. I have accepted (but not agreed) to the fact that Tyler works on his birthday... and mine.

Tyler has been super busy at work lately... like working 14 hour days. He told me he would not be home on his birthday until late that night so despite my disagreement, we celebrated his birthday the day before. I made Tyler his favorite dinner, lasagna.

We sure love our Daddy!
We surprised Daddy with lots of gifts and cards. He got a power drill, new lunch box, and tape measure.
Makayla made Daddy a special card and drew a picture of him on the front. I love how she adequately captured Tyler's pointy chin... either that or she thinks her daddy is an alien.
My favorite part was the inside of the card. Makayla drew pictures of every thing she could think of that Tyler likes, which included Oreo cookies, Coke, balloons, and his family. She also wrote the cutest note to him that said, " Happy Birthday Dad you are so special 33 I love Dad goodbye."

After presents Daddy got to blow out the candles on his cookie cake.
 Which we all enjoyed eating.

Happy Birthday Tyler! Thanks so much for being the best dad and husband to us. Thank you for working so hard for our family and still making sure you spend time with each of us. I am so lucky I get to call you mine!

Love is in the Air

Another great Valentine's for the books! Valentine's day was on a Sunday this year. We went to church and then came home and had a fancy dinner to celebrate.

Tyler made us steaks and asparagus on the bar-b-q. We also had salad, sweet potato fries, rolls, and a special Valentine's love punch in our fancy glasses.

After dinner the kids got a little gift from us.
Then we had our sugar cookies we made the day before. Poor Makayla was not feeling well, so she went to bed early, but the rest of us sure enjoyed our treats.

Oh! I just can't get enough of my cuties!
Happy Valentine's Day!!

We Love our #30!

Caden started his first soccer season, and so far he loves it! The very first day he met his coach and got all of his soccer attire. He was so excited about his shin guards and beanie, he insisted on sleeping with them.
Oh man, we love this boy!!

Caden was super excited for his first soccer game. We had to take a lot of pictures, because, well, that's what we do around here! Caden is just so handsome!!

Look out! #30 is out to get ya!
Caden's coach wasn't able to attend the first game, so Daddy got to step in and coach Caden's team. Despite not having any idea of what he was doing, Tyler did a great job of coaching!
The first game was so cute because the kids all just ran around and didn't really understand what was going on. Caden did really well his first game and even scored two goals!

After the game, Caden was non stop talking about the game.
Caden has quite the large cheering crowd come to see him.

Caden is so hilarious because after his first game he said to me, "I am so lucky because all of those people came to see me play!" I couldn't figure out if he meant our family or all the other parents. I'm pretty sure he meant the latter.

We are so proud of Caden because he is excelling in something he loves. He reminds Tyler they need to practice every night and he goes out every week and does his very best. We are so excited to see him progress this year!

We love our #30!
