For one glorious weekend we didn't have anything going on. The girls didn't have dance and Caden didn't have any basketball games, and Tyler didn't have any church meetings, so we thought we should take advantage of a slow weekend and take a quick trip to Logan for some fun.
We started off our trip by going to Maddox for lunch. They had the most amazing rolls! Then we drove the rest of the way to Logan. It was super rainy, so we were looking for things to do not outside. We went to the Lazy Zone outlet and picked out matching pajama bottoms. Then we drove around the town and I showed Tyler all the places I lived while I went to school there. There was a small break into the rains, I took the family on a tour of the campus. We went to the "A" and I helped Tyler become a True Aggie.
The weather was so rainy, so we didn't spend too much time on the campus, and instead opted for fun in the pool.
We went to dinner at my favorite place, Firehouse.
We watched tv and snuggled in our new pajamas
The next day we stopped at Lagoon on our way home. The Jones family met us there and we had fun at Frightmares.
Caden is playing for Dream Team again this season. He is doing so well and has really stepped up and is becoming such a good leader on the team.
Makayla insists that fridge water is the best and she can taste the difference, so we set up a challenge for her. We had different waters like fridge, tap, distilled, and spring, and Makayla had to guess which one was fridge. Ironically she was able to pick out the fridge water, but we think it was because it was the coldest.
Bella just begging for bread.
Brynnli got a cake pop set from Tammy and Bruce for her birthday, so she made cake pops and they were delicious!!
Caden is in mixed choir this year and we went to his fall concert. He did a great job!
The young men went to a Jazz game for one of their activities. Lucky boys!!
The weather is cooling down and getting pretty cold, so Tyler and I went on our last hike. We decided to go all the way to the falls. We have tried other times, but we always run out of time for such a long hike, but this time we were determined to make it.
We made it, and it was totally worth it.
Some of our hikes are more entertaining than others. You never know what you'll see a long the trail.
Prettiest fall sunsets!!
Family Bingo. What do you do for fun on a Friday night?
It's Caden's turn for round 2 of braces.
Usually after the kids get their braces on I take them to get an ice cream or a smoothie because their teeth are sore, but Caden requested a cheeseburger. That's our Caden for ya.
Makayla was being so nice to Brynnli and Keira by reading them a story. Or maybe she was just bored?
We got last minute tickets to the Jazz game from my work. We actually had really good seats.
Brynnli's favorite thing is swimming and since it is fall now, she hasn't been able to go swimming as much so during fall break we went to the Kearns pool and all of Brynnli's swimming dreams came true. I swear this girl is part fish!
1st quarter is over and both Makayla and Caden got a 4.0! They are $50 richer.
Look, it's two mining engineerds in their natural habitat!! Get it? Tyler and I went to homecoming at the U. The mining department had an alumni event that we went to, and since Carson is studying to be a mining engineer too we got to hang out with him at the event. We got to see his dorm at the U and he gave us a tour of the campus.
Before we went to the alumni event our neighbors called us and asked if we wanted to go to the game with them, so we had a great night watching the football game
Tyler took Brynnli for an impromptu night at Gardner Village. They got to see all the witches, including Witchy Poo. The kids used to love to go there when they were little and they thought Witchy poo was so funny.
Brynnli dressed up for dance. Can you believe she went as something other than a cat this year? She looked just as cute as a pirate.
We've had so much spooky fun so far this month!
